Dakine Boot Pack 41L Anyone have trouble bringing this as a carry on while flying?

I use a boot pack as a carry on. If you are at all worried about an airline losing your luggage, skis are replaceable and rentable, a good pair of boots isn't immediately replaceable

Although if you cannot carry on, this trick seems to work for me;

There is really no good reason for airlines to give you baggage fees and most airlines are willing to forego the fee and accommodate you. If you are checking your skis– which you most likely will– check the boot bag as one. You simply explain that boots and skis go together on nearly airline as one bag. Just plead you case and make sure that THEY are the ones who seem unreasonable.

There are ton of practices of moving ski gear and that is pretty tried and true one

Good luck!

were u using the dakine bootpack mentioned in this post? You haven't had any trouble bringing that on the plane as a carry on?

Actually most airlines have a written policy that skis and a boot bag are considered 1 checked item. You can find that policy on the websites and print a copy if you are afraid of them giving you a hard time

Yea i saw when checking the airlines site. I'm not trying to check my boot bag though in case they lose it. I want to bring this bag on the plane as a carry on, and was wondering if anyone that has it, has done that before, and if they ran into any issues?
