Dakine BC Vest Sizing

Anyone have a Dakine BC Vest. Debating whether the LG/XL will be big enough without crushing my Size XL Oakley coat. Especially when it's filled with gear. Thinking the XXL will be loose but comfortable and I can tighten the size straps if needed.

Anyone own one and wear their outerwear loose?

I do not own a Dakine BC vest or wear my outerwear really baggy/loose.

But, I do wear the Ogio Flak Jacket. I have the L/XL and I wear a L jacket. I'm 5'11/195. The idea behind a pack/vest is to keep everything snug against you so it doesn't move around, not loose and flappy.

I'm 5'11" 145lbs, I wear a large jacket size and bought a L/XL vest. With a jacket on I need the straps pretty close to maxed to keep the vest snug. It doesn't crush my jacket but it keeps it snug so it doesn't flail around.

I also owned the Ogio flak jacket but s/m and im 5'8 175. I wore baggier clothes back then and with it that small of a vest still fit great with a L or XL jacket. But you will prly find you will want to keep things tight on your body. It feels and skis better tighter fittiing.

Yeah the key is definitely a snug fit. And between the sizes of vests I don't think the length of the vest changes too much, so you really want to size the vest to how stick-like or beefy you may be.
