Is it just like a hike session or is it more of a rail jam format?
It depends on the year but usually they have skiing in the morning comp in the afternoon

Went up with a few friends today and set up a flat down with their 2 cigar rails, caught a little adrenaline rush dropping the biggest gap to rail of my life. The season is never over until it's over.

The only thing that could be iffy is if your local hill is privately owned, then it's technically trespassing. The nice thing about Chester Bowl is that it's just another park in the city.
