Daily Throwdown 12/13

Trolls rails are always perfect. Only hill where the lips onto the rails are actually well made, none of that ride on bullshit or lips all the way to the top of the rail. You guys do a great job at making what I think is the best park around.

opening day we had a two jump line. down flat down tube, close out to down box. a flat tube to close out to down rail. canon rail to whale-tail box. a fat tube rail, and a down rail. More going up too! No where can compare to Granite Peak

wtf are you talking about? I wasn't dissing troll, I was just talking about that day where the tow kept stopping. Yes I love your guys' park, so much, (I have to go to welch) and somehow you can maintain it. jesus

anyway, if there are any features at welch tomorrow, I'm going to throw down... I'm gonna get those 2 pretz 2s and rays down pat

hyland re-set everything, tons of fun right now. 40ft down, handrail down, 16' down all with good lips/landings. pencil setup well too.

Hit up hyland yesterday, couldn't bring myself to lap the park when I had all that fresh snow. Stoked to hit it up tomorrow though, esp. The 40 footer

I scoped urban spots and dreamed about hitting them in class does this count? skiing in one month cant friggin wait

There's other things at hyland?

Shrode spirit today! Mt. bike trail is the beez kneez. Mount two cocks tomorrow!

Ran into this species called "ski-racer", they were all wearing really tight clothes and had long poles. 'twas strange

Frickin Mont Du Lac outside of duluth looks sickkk. They have a rope tow just like hylands but better cause theres a hotboy berm at the bottom. Just sayinn

Less crowds, gnarly jibs, better management. It's like the troll of the northland, just gotta watch out for the boogie-woogie one skiers

Just rode spirit for an icy hour. Did a switch up switch up 2 and my mustache froze

Went to Hyland the other day and got unnatty switch 3's down, nose tap 3 on the flat-barrel-down, and front swap to switch on the down box. Pretty amped about 3 new tricks in a day.

i took a nice one in the groin the first day, then a nailed it right after that. about an hour later, when i got up and stopped puking.

excited to ride with Craig and Kelly today at Troll. bout to be a blast.

we also reset last week, top to bottom, left to right.

-flat box, 20 foot box rail deal

-wallride, down bar, flat drop flat

-shitty jump, up down, 50ft down bar

-okay jump, flat down flat down flat(our quad flipped around), 30 ft hand rail.

come out and enjoy! and as i have said before, get ahold of me on facebook, or get craig or somebody to get ahold of me for you, and i will get you a ticket if you are trying to come out and ride.

First day skiing all year today. took everything to flat at lutsen. up down box, up flat rail, blasting off the alpine slide bridge into ice chunks. fun time. their park setup is iffy to say the best

what's their jump status? i'm prob gonna head up for one of the "ski till 3" things sometime and my home "hill" doesn't have jumps, so obviously i'm really really really stoked to hit jumpz

Just an fyi, their park seems to go to shit by around 11, and it doesnt get groomed till next morning. I went to a ski till three last year and the park was beyond terrible. Incredibly rutted and icy despite no above freezing temps during the day.

I've heard their daytime park is a blast but if the ski till 3 is anything like last year, dont plan on havi good conditions f

son of a bitch and i'll have been racing all day. last thing i want is ice. but what should've i expected? it's a midwest resort, in the middle of the night. stupid me

Learned switch 450s on and almost got a misty 450 on during the Cascade Mountain New Year's Rail Jam. Placed 1st for my first time ever in a ski event!

well i tried to do a tweaked out cork 3 on a really big jump instead i started spinning uncontrollably and did a wierd d spin/ cork 9 thing.

They don't have any really big jumps. There's a 30 footer that's pretty sweet, and another with a stupid steep lip that's a bit bigger, but the landing is super mellow, so it's a no-go.

what's the word on buck hill's airbag? is it a truth? i'd like to hit that up sometime soon if so

what do they charge? per hit or a time period or whatever else they thought up, and is the jump onto it decent?

It's $10 for 3 hits, $40 for 20, an they have some rates between those. The lip is super steep, but I haven't hit it yet. There are pics on their fb page though.

you're lucky, welch is never having jumps again, all the rails have to be straddle - able, and the park is tiny. I would pay good money to hit a 30 footer.

Why...? They stand to make decent money off the buck hill/hylands crowd, but thatll never happen if they dont step their game up

its super fun to do.

also i landed switch off of the cannon rail at buck today, without poles i felt like a fucking boss.

Cuz welch is all about the FAMILIES and CARVING and RACING and the BEST and PREMIER resort in the midwest. They have their STEEPS to cater to and the BACK BOWL.

I don't see why they can't do both, they're filthy rich, I mean for god's sake they could at least buy some new rails. So yeah whenever I talk to someone that's from Buck or Hyland that's at Welch they always ask in despair "Is this all you've got?"

Don't get me wrong, welch used to have a fucking crazy park, but they became retarded and now it's just... a novelty :'(

Rode Copper today! Super fun, riding there tomorrow too whewwwww gotta love the cotton candy mountains

I went skiing! so much fun. Hit every box in Park ane at breck 5050 and snagged saftey on a baby jump :). Free at last free at laasst

they took out the cannon rail at buck hill today
