Daily Throwdown 11/12

elm creek park reserve. its a little hill in maple grove with a bunch of rails and boxes and some smaller jumps. admission is cheap ($15), and they have a rope tow. pretty sweet.

on a different note has anyone been to lutsen this season? my family is making a trip up after christmas and im curious what it's like.

Not much snow here in co, kind of disappointing. The park is really sick though. And I'm not complaining about being in the mountains

Nope. There are still bare spots some places, and rocks everywhere. But still better than MN, you'll be stoked

Made it to afton today. Setup was funnn, stoked to see so many skiers there! Hittin up troll tomorrow and elm wednesday, gonna be a good week!

Went to Powder Ridge today. Their jump was actually nice and the best I have hit in my years of going their. But of course that would have been too good to be true. For some reason it wasn't open for all to hit but the snowboarders "testing" it said we could hit it. After hitting it a few times and doing some rodeos and falling a couple times, one boarder says to me, "hey bro you gotta start doing tricks you can stomp every time, your washing out our landing doing those circus tricks and going too big, so you gotta stop with those cuz your ruining our landing." 40 degree day dude, landing will always be slushy. And I was going far past where they were landing anyways. Typical Powder Ridge boarders.

Note to all: Don't go big and do circus tricks, you will ruin landings for snowboarders.

lutsens park is pretty iffy. one five foot jump, one sticky flat up rail, a bunch of 3 foot wide boxes, and a battleship which is actually really fun. nothing beats riding a little pow though

14 days on the snow to date. Past couple weeks: snowboard- almost landed 540, stomping 3's, learned to boardslide urbans, 180 on & out of boxes, 270 out of this cannon... lots of progress. Skis- 180 on & out of boxes, and a couple new grabs of which names I don't know.

I've actually been somewhat pleased with Hyland's setup the past week, and spirit has really sucked. Someone should let me know when they get their big jump line up.

I was there too! suuuper icey.. and it blows my mind how god awful people are at tow ropes there.. but the setup is sick

annnd rode spirit today. that marks the third time we've almost gotten kicked out already this year. fuck that place

and for tricks i got switch in, front change, front two out on the elms flat down rail. yeee and a handful of other dumb shit i guess

Omg tell me about it. I wanted to punch every little kid there on the head.

But I ended up getting a front switch pretzel two out on the flat down and a k-fed on the flat bar. Yeee.

Trick wise, shitty day. Seemed to have lost more tricks than I learned. Although I did have a white trash serial killer from wisonsin after me, that will make your fucking day

ill just leave this here:

troll's park looks amazing right now

lol true that. do you ride at night? in the morning things are really nice, but late night the parks are rutted to hell

Skiied at granite today with some associates.. First time skiier twas a blast took laps thru the park. Second time skiing for me on the season. Was great

not usually. i went to troll 3 times in the morning and still pretty rutted out. oh well, it's all part of skiing in the midwest.

mont du lac rail jam went down yesterday. suuuper fun, pretty good turnout. the setup was legit and continental hooked it up on prizes! congrats to josh beery for snaggin first, and david duea in second! and big ups to marky for puttin the whole thing on whew!

come ski at troll. you guys need to watch more snowboarding and see all the edits coming out of here. ohh and we have a quad kink now...

I got grabs on my 3's via snowboard.

and I did a 180 on skis, and then a 270, and I can kinda almost sorta not really do a 3. But I'll be stomping them at some point no doubt.

landed my first frontflip today at hylands. took me four tries

try 1. land flat on back

try 2. land on butt/tailbone

try 3. get it around but turn in midair and wash out

try 4. land

and was anyone on here wearing a checkered jacked and pants, and riding line anthems? forgot to ask if you were on ns

Chester bowl is the shit. Double kink, to flat rail, to poop tube laps alllllll day. Plus all the munchkins build baby booters which are always fun haha

Damnit Josh!! Everytime I'm at spirit. I spun the first big hit at spirit yesterday, hopefully its faster today so I can make the landings. If anyones there they should look for me in green pants purple jacket (maybe snowboarding), cause I'll be alone the better half of the morning

they're easier than they seem. pop, set a little harder than a 360 and... thats about it. commit and youll probably land it first try.

nobody but me skis mornings/early afternoon at troll... and the park is always perfect in the morning.

seriously kids. get out here and ride. go watch the edits in my thread a little bit down in regionals.
