Dagmar or Lakeridge Parks

Has anyone ridden at Dagmar or Lakeridge lately? What were their parks like, I am mostly interested if any jumps are set-up at either resort, looking for something small and playful for a first day out.

Dagmar's website says they are opening full-time starting Wednesday, not sure if Lakerdige will do the same soon.

I rode both parks a couple of weeks ago, and here is my take on the 2 parks.

Lakeridge has a new park crew this year and they are doing a great job on changing the culture from the previous park crews. They have a nice compact park with solid/cleanly set up features. However, one thing I was not partuicuarly crazy about was it seemed like you had to wait ur turn to ride the park because the features are close together and you never know what everyone's line is going to be. Another downside is that they don't have any skiiers on their park staff, but I was talkin to the head guy who I know, and he said he is always taking into consideration skiiers, and they have a few guys who ride there all the time.

All in all, new staff=new culture=commitment to building a good park.

Dagmar has always been able to produce a solid jib park and another benefit is having a split crew (both skiers and snowboarders), which lakeridge doesn't have. However, (I haven't been since last weekend), a lot of things weren't set up 'clean', in the sense that, rutty lips and landings and such, but hopefully that will change after a good build. Also, their jumps are meh. That has always been Dagmar's problem, building good jumps, seems like whenever they do make a solid kicker, it gets destroyed/comprimised by the weather.

All in all, will always have great jibs, will usually have one nice kicker, and lots of NSers rippin it up.

So this year is going to be interesting, I'd def recomend riding both this year.

Awesome, thanks fisher. But I am more concerned with what might be best THIS week, and what jump(s) they might have set-up, as my jib skis are in the shop.

i was at dagmar yesterday and their parks lookin pretty good

i didnt hit the jump line but it looked solid. they have one big booter, maybe about 35 feet or so? a couple smaller ones around 25 and some little 15 foot ones near the bottom

they also have most of their rails all set up pretty well and a rediculous tree/telephone pole jib

and they got the little park beside it with a bunch of small jibs and jumps and shit, and a fucked up quarterpipe thing

i havnt been out to lakeridge yet tho

go to dagmar if you want just rails..... if you want some dirty rail lines, thats dagmar........ if you wanna be able to go rail jump jump rail or watever combination of rails and jumps, go to lakeridge

i was at dagmar yesterday and it was pretty good. they had their whole park up and they also had a mini park. the jump line was: i would call the first one a 25ft jump, next a 20ft and a 35ft step up, then like a 10ft jump and a 20ft jump. it was pretty solid i would sujjest going there

First day at the mar all day today, and I was impressed with the set up, list includes as i can remember:

Rail measurements might be off, im not sure of full actual size anymore, and flat/down is the rail positioning

Big Daddy:

Top:

35 ft flat bar, down (pink/blue one from last year) urban

35 ft round rail, down(all blue last year) urban/straight on

30 ft flat box flat straight on

next set:

32 ft city rail, flat, urban

30 ft battleship box, straight on

next set:

35 ft whale box, flat straight on

25 ft rainbow box, flat , striaght on

25 ft flat bar, flat, urban

then at the bottom was the A frame, barrel bonk, and WIP Tree jib

THIS WEEKEND WALL SHOULD BE IN!!! Its NOT mammoth sized, perhaps you can even use it as its intended, thats up for you to decide.

Mini park is jammmed with features as well.

Check it out!

We put in the wall ride, so that's in where the barrel bonk was, super user friendly for skiers, and an overall fun setup., not like Laker's wall (ours is plastic topsheet).. We'll get the jump line dialed up bigger and better so hopefully we'll own Laker completly... dont get me wrong they have there perks, but mar is just mar and its dope check out the wall photos on facebooks compound terrain park site
