sorry to break it to you man, but i dont really care about your opinion of my opinion.

i dont ride at dagmar.

i think my time and money is better spent elsewhere.

if they made some improvements though i would love to ride there.

obvious things that need fixed were not so obvious.

when did i ever say anyone was incompetent or retarded? i didnt. so stop being a "bitch" about it.

i cant help if parkstaff take suggestions which i think are relatively common sense as "condescending".

learn to take a little criticism.

and see now, youre being a bitch. when did i ever say i am the "all-knowing master of terrain parks everywhere and can make every one perfect"? i didnt. nor was i implying it. i made a few suggestions. doesnt mean i think im god.

a halfpipe would make dagmar better if it were able to be properly maintained. but unfortunately, there is very little room to put it. and it would require more staff to maintain it, which would be harder than ever now because we just got our airbag that takes 2 extra parkstaff to run

i have skiied many places with pipes.

once again, you know nothing about me so how can you know if i can hit pipe or not? this is why people think you are condescending.

i do understand how much it costs to maintain a pipe because i am parkstaff at dagmar and we talked about the possibility. and i know how many people would hit it because 4 years ago they had a pipe. and all day people would just ride the walls and slide down the sides, causing major ice build up and chunks out of the lip. i know this very well because i was one of the stupid people doing it.

just trying to prove a point about the 80 foot booter, it may have been a bad example but you know what i meant.

the difference between consturctive critism and hate is all about how you word things. it feels like when your suggesting a pipe, your not trying to add, your only looking for flaws, if im wrong im sorry, but it really seems like other people are agreeing with me about your attitude.

earlier you said you dont waste your time at dagmar. so if your not going to come out and ride, you shouldnt criticize.

i think youre missing the original point. Someone said the only thing that would improve dagmars park is a high speed chair. I suggested a good way to improve a park would be to have a half pipe.

i dont really care about all the reasons why the supposedly cant.

so because this is your first season on park staff at dagmar you know how much it costs to run a pipe for a season?? something tells me your job of parkstaff consists of skiing around with a shovel filling in bomb holes from the endless weekend warriors. not conducting business models on the most financially productive operation methods to run a ski resort. but im just guessing.

know what would take care of people sliding down the walls and taking chunks out of the lip??

ive said numerous times now, but maybe this time you will absorb it. i do not ride at dagmar, however if they made a few small changes i probably would.

if im not going to come out and ride i should criticize??

i dont own a ferrari, but i criticize their use of an electronic panel shifting system.

thats fair, we will agree to disagree about dagmar.

but if you read my posts, i wasnt insulting you. i said that people think your condescending. i did not say you were. i just think that your points would be taken much more seriously if you had a different way of presenting them. you have some very valid points and you clearly do your research. but that doesnt mean you have to put people down or call them names.

something tells me there is a little bit of a difference between the 1/4million dollar pipes featured in transworld, anddddd what dagmar would most likely have.

just guessing though.
 
My old hill tyrol basin in wisconsin has a pipe that is unmatched in the midwest, and it's been mentioned on tw numerous times. it's actually one of the first resort halfpipes, but the whole place is only 300 feet vertical. A small hill can have a good pipe, but it's going to hog a lot of resources during the season. tyrol doesn't even have a jump line, because of the pipe; it takes so much to maintain. The only reason the pipe is still there is tyrol's reputation as "the pipe place", although nobody really rides it anymore. I say focus on improving the park instead of half assing both
 
Trust me there have been discussions about this. A park pass was suggested for the current season and they were unable to put it into effect.

I completely agree with a park pass, its only beneficial, provides more money for the park to maintain it and it keeps at the rift raft out.

They didn't have time for it this year but hopefully one will be put into effect next year
 
I think a parkpass system is good in theory but, doesn't always work the best. the reason being, everyone who wants to ride park will get one...so, those people in question who are not the best in the park will get that pass anyway...plus, you now will have to have someone posted at the entrance to the park checking parkpasses....which is annoying...
 
true. at devil's glen they make you watch some shitty video, and when i was doing so some mom walks in with a bunch of 7 year old looking kids to get park passes.

it does weed out a few, but any gapers who come out regularly will probably pick up a park pass.
 
I agree, but for the case of Dagmar, the park pass would only be for the big park and not the little park. Letting anyone who is just learning park to be able to but it also keeps the traffic out of the big park and it would eliminate parents with their two children standing on the knuckle of the jumps in the jump line.
 
The impound (smaller) park is finally open and there was two builds in the past two days, a whole bunch of new features got put in and changes are going on in the park! the jump line is killer right now! second set lip got rebuild and is now huge! i'll try to post up some videos of the new setup within the next few days. Also the airbag will be out this weekend and i'll be filming on it with this 15 ft camera boom

The rest of the new features are getting finished and will be arriving very soon hopefully, GET STOKED!!!

Yeah i know its real original, not like every resort in North America has one now, its a pretty standard feature. That's like saying haven't seen a feature like a jump around anywhere.
 
in your boastful list of features that you were so eager to share with everyone pre season, no where was it included.

 
I was at the Dag for the first time on friday and the park was looking decent, lots of features and a few options to hit it for some of the features which was nice too. bulletproof ice but as long as you didnt fall you were fine :P

can dagmar invest in a big fucking wall at the base of the hill that stops the wind from ripping up hill and slowing what little speed you actually get lol...serious...do it!
 
Kyle, cannon's have to have a little over half of the rail buried in the jump in order for them the stay put, and a 5 foot cannon out of a jump doesn't sound that fun to me..

 
Well what I shared was what got ordered form Coastal Jibs, i never said that those were the only new things happening.

plus that rail idea was suggested in october and since so much has been going on, and having to wait on the end caps and 90 degree bends for the larger one, it only got welded last week when there was time
 
Just wait for it, we just put it in as a flat but its gonna get changed around. not a cannon but its going to be a nice up rail in the big park.
 
I really wish there were some slightly smaller jumps similar to the old stepup jump that are easy and lower risk to learn stuff on. that stepup was the best
 
Yeah for sure.. Just a little less poppy and I think the Step up would be sick. I guess a little more in the middle of what it is now and what it was.
