we actually, this was probably stupid... didnt bend it... we cut and welded all of it... took like a week but my dad and i managed to finish it.... tack the joints with a MIG welder and finish it off with TIG welder... looks pretty with the TIG and is STRONG as hell with it as well.
 
i have no idea what else he did, thats all i could remember though.... i think he basically re built his engine ground up on his own.
 
Fuck trucks that are lifted for show, pavement princess`s are for guys that need more self esteem. If a truck or suv is goin to be lifted, use it. take it in the bush, get it dirty, scratch it up. be a man, do the right thing.

as for `dropping` trucks, do you mean slammin, lowering, or channeling the truck? well, as long as its not a show truck and the truck is used for everyday driving, not just to sit in a garage.

I have both a lifted and slammed truck, and both are driven all the time, just like they were intended to be used.
 
damn straight, plus since im garbage with anything engine wise i have him to work on my bronco when i pull the block out this summer (the original block from 1984) and take it apart, and most likely completely rebuild it from the ground up.

uhm and this car wont throw me in any sort of debt. i paid for 3/4 of it in cash soo my payments are redic low and i work over 50 hours a week soo i think im fine haha

Depends on the car, unless your restoring a classic, or an old 60s-70s piece of Detroit muscle, then it probably isnt worth it financially.
And no your WRX will never be worth that much.
 
If you are done with college or not going to college its time to move out, then buy toys or do whatever the hell you want
 
you do realize a lot of people who "pimp out" their cars actually do it because they enjoy racing? not to impress girls. skiing is a bad investment too if you think about it. but you still do it.
 
i think you said why right here. parents don't want you moving out because of economy (i think they want you to save up), they def. don't want you turning around and dropping cash on something like this
 
idk where ppl are getting that im done with college?? this has nothing to do with any form of college i saved my parents the money. i just graduated from a tech high school like last year hah

idc if its a bad investment i just love having that car and driving it its such a good feeling knowing YOU bought that car and YOU paid for all the mods

and if i wanted to restore a muscle car right it would cost WAY more then 3 or 4 grand and i can still drive my wrx to the slopes in the winter

i cleared my spending the money with my parents before i even did it cuz i used there credit cards cuz i dont have one

my dads not even mad anymore fact he wants to take my car down and race it this weekend with his friend

Why does everybody keep ripping on him for not being in college? He said he went to tech school and is now an electrician or something along those lines. The majority of people who do go to college go for a worthless degree that they can't get a job with once they get out of school. He's apparently doing pretty well so far if he can afford to drop that on a car and parts. People who go to trade school can almost always start out with just as high of a salary as someone who went to "real college"..

OP: I see your problem both ways, and if you're 18 you could move out, or you could be 18 and live at home with a sick car. Either way, if you have your car as decked as I read and you're working 50 hours a week you're doing fine.. You probably could move out anyway. Your dad just has to realize you're working a lot, doing something you love and you will move out pretty soon I would assume.. Good luck dude.
 
is your car actually payed for? or are you making payments on it?

if you are still making payments on a car (which i am assuming you are) then ide probably agree with your dad as to your dumbassness. (is that a word) why would you make payments on a car and then mod the shit out of it, instead of putting that 4k towards the principal on the loan?

i wouldnt go so far as to kick you out, but you gotta wonder.......

why does everyone say shit like that? i grew up building rock crawlers. i build and wheel the fuck out of my trucks for the same reasons my friends build their cars. there is no difference.
 
my solution: buy a cheap suv or AWD car. Don't put any money into it. Drive it as little as possible. Save money on not using gas or modifying your car.

I don't like you. Impressing chicks is a much smaller factor in anything a guy does than you would think. Maybe he wants a sick car, to have a sick car? I don't buy a crazy nice longboard to impress girls, or skis, or anything I do to have fun for that matter.. And by the way.. When you have nice rides, you just fuck them right in your car.. at least the ones who went for you because of the car.

next point is most people who mod their cars do it for themselves. i can care less what some girl thinks of my car? as can most guys that do this.

he's only 18? most 18 year olds live with their parents if they aren't in college. and a lot still do if the do go to college.
