Dad Stoke!

This past weekend was the first time my wife and I took our two young sons skiing at the same time.

The feeling of watching my boys progressing as we skied down a green Run at Killington was up there with Extra chute, and side country at Snowbird and Solitude and my first time at Jhole.

I’m not gonna lie when I first had kids I thought my skiing days were numbered but this past week has opened up a whole new world for us.

The lack of organized sports due to Covid has allowed us some free time to ski!! Here’s a clip of my youngest ripping of the carpet and zig zagging his way to the “jumps”!

It’s the best. Not gonna lie, booting up myself and two boys in the car in the lot had me questioning my choice but once we got skiing it was all worth it

Another tip I forgot to note in the dad tips thread: take a backpack that has side carry ability for skis, or just some tensioners or whatever, so you can strap kids skis, your poles, anything else to give you a free hand when crossing the lot.

Awe man that is amazing!! I can’t wait to take my kids(who don’t exist yet) skiing. Definitely dad goals! Well mom goals.

Also can we acknowledge the girl in the pink totally destroying the kid in blue off to the right side?

Hahahahaha watched that video about a 199 times never noticed the girl in the pink. Good eyes mingg

This is so awesome to see..I taught at the Children's center at my resort for a few years and I remember how cool it was to see the youngins progress so quickly. I'm can only imagine how cool it is to see your own kids taking up the sport.

Not gonna lie my wife an I had tears in our eyes. Before we had kids we would always see little rippers zig zagging down and say one day maybe we can have some skier kids

Fuck yeah dude. We need people like to introduce the next generation to our sport. This warms my heart and I know those kids are gonna be fucking rippers

The stoke was high again this weekend! Got some top to bottom laps at Stratton with my eight and 5 year old. Put my 5 year old on a harness. Made a world of difference. It’s definitely a skill figuring how much slack to give him and how to pull him back, but once we were dialed in it’s was super fun. Here’s a vid of my 5 year old hitting a side hit. Hahahah
