D70s or d50

i found some great deals on these cameras

im kind of new to photography and im taking a class at school so i want to know if it would be better for me at this stage to get a d50 with the 18-70mm lens or a d70s with a 28-200mm lens.

the prices are awesomely cheap and come with more stuff and the price difference between the two isn't much. so what would you suggest i do?

the person above me is just dumb. the d50 and d40 are both good cameras but do not buy a d40 cause the lens mount is different then other nikon cameras. Now to anwser your question, the d50 and d70 are both easy to use and very good cameras but the d70s is a better camera, so if its not that much more i say get the d70s.
