NIkon just released the D3100 for the same price as the D5000. I was just wondering if a camera guy could let me know the main differences. Thanks

I have a D5000 and the video it shoots is looking more and more pathetic compared to canon getting better and better

at least the D3100 improves a bit but it still lacks 720 60p and MANUAL CONTROL, that is the shittiest part of Nikon HDSLRs

I would honestly say steer clear of Nikon IF the D95 is a disappointment like the D3100

yes and photos. i was just wondering if there was any difference between them besides that the D3100 shoots 1080 as well. So you say the Cannon Rebel T1i would be a better bet. i have used nikons all my life

T1i has no manual video controls either, they are the same camera besides a little difference between megapixel,

i would go with nikon for their ergonomics

dont get a t1i spend the extra 200 bucks and get a t2i way better video functions and takes pretty good stills

just to letchya know the D90's replacement is (according to nikonrumors) called the D7000

Thanks for the heads up, I havnt checked Nikon rumors in a lil while

100% viewfinding coverage and dual memory card slots?

The D7000 will be awesome
