You coming in here and talking trash on two core brands struggling to get by in the industry helps no one, it decreases demand. How about you go back to the non-ski gabber forum and talk trash on Obama's Stimulus instead of hating on what could be the start of another ski company.
 
i think the logic is super simple and youre all being retarded
lets say i need skis right now...and its the end of the season so im tight on cash...ive never heard of boone but im gonna buy them simply because theyre so fucking cheap...now i go out and ride them and slay...im gonna first of all hype them up all over newschoolers and tell all my friends about them...then next season when im looking for new skis who am i gonna turn to first? boone. the company is simply trying to get its name out there. look at how much this deal alone has people talking...just wait till people start riding them...id say is a small upstart company this is a perfect move
and this is coming from a completely unaffiliated 3rd party
 
not to mention that d-structure is hooking up the deal... this doesnt have as much to do with boone as it does D-Structure being A++++ legit and "losing its f@#%king mind"

besides... Erik Boone and Azikewe Anderson (DSSF owner) are pretty chill with each other from what I understand.

 
Boone Skis are awesome.They are very unique in different ways. You can actually get all three different graphics on either the park or freeride ski. The park ski is actually a 81.2 mm underfoot and the freeride is a 93 mm underfoot. The powder ski, Magic Sticks, are 118 underfoot and rockered, which ride similarly to the HellBents, but i dont think they are part of this deal unfortunately. Also the bamboo core is something people may not be familiar with. Bamboo is extremely light and at the same time very durable. Bamboo is pretty much just the carbon fiber of wood. This makes the skis impressively light, durable, and a poppy fun ski. Give them a few days of breaking in and they will be the favorite park ski you have ever rode.Hope that helps all!

Just because the owner bros down with you, gives you 40% off and tosses you a free t shirt once in a while doesn't mean you have to suck them off in every thread. I am not a fucking a genius, but I can see that Boone is trying to get his name out there by giving away skis cheaply. This won't really matter because the repeat business derived from it won't outweigh the current costs. Not a big deal, I highly doubt they would have been around in 5 years anyway.
How come 2/3 of posts in this thread are either Boone or D-structure 'affiliated' people?

Cliff notes: Boone's sales are bad, Boone tries to get name out there with D-Structure's help. Sells skis relatively cheaply, people don't really care, doesn't drive up future business, Alex_G skipoles both companies at the same time.

The OWNER of DSSF is very tight friends with the booneskis homie and decided to hook it up with all the snow they are getting in cali! as many have stated before this is a sale for the SKIERS not for the shop.. its real chillin you dont have to brang in any hate. just appriciate the sale. maybe get out there try out some boones in the near future!! but thanks for your input!!

lemme vouch for Boone real quick: legit guys, super legit skis. met them at SIA and they are the kind of people that make the industry better, I will be stoked to see them make it :)

and I have absolutely no relation to them or d-structure beyond my own satisfaction with their product/service

 
One thing that isn't mentioned is that this could be a marketing move (even at a loss of money). Yes they are selling cheap, but because of that people that would have never bought them before will be riding them. It opens up to hopefully have people basically try and viral market them and turn peoples' thoughts around on their product. A lot of people are harsh on boone, but look how even some of those people can't resist this deal and are gonna be riding them. Their opinions could be totally swayed. Plain and simple , this will put people on their skis.
 
wait.. so you dont think this massive amount of people going to D-Structure.com to check out a sick deal is going to help D-Structure out at all? That people wont see all the unique shirts and stuff they have on their website and want to buy that and stuff?

Sounds like a marketing deal to me...

besides... I'm preeety sure that D-Structure and Boone are kinda buddy-buddy... the boone guys and the d-structure guys were in the same tent at icer air when I went to that... sooo... its probably a joint-thingy.
