D-spin

think back flip + 360. What helps me (at least on tramp/pools/flat ground - haven't tried it to snow yet) is to throw the backflip but leave one hand down and look over that shoulder, thats how you throw a back full, which is the gymnast term for the motion of a d-spin 7.

how i learned them was by doing cork 7's.

throw just like you would on a cork 7, but as the 2nd 360 begins instead of continueing to look over your shoulder, look directly back like you would in a backflip.

hope that helps. good luck. post a vid if you get it!!!

more or less, yes. A backflip 360. But watch any of the old vids where people are throwing sick ones, (see, mike douglas in old poorboyz, or Tanners d-10 from happy dayz or JP Auclair from gravity games bigair) they are layed out with their legs hanging back so they look much different than they would with knees tucked up or something

i learned em on tramps by doin 180 to misty but i set the 180 like im gonna do a 7 and then just sorta go into the misty a lil bit before i get to 180

im not sure if that will help but thats how i learned them and i got em pretty dialed on tramps

as you start your invert, stare back down at your left heel, if you spin the way i do. this will help to bring you around. Tuck your lugs, and bring your hand under your thigh as your legs come around. use your hips and shoulders to turn, while spotting your landing the entire time with your eyes. but really, once you start the spin, it completes itself if done right.

itll take alot of practice to get on a tramp, and even more to get on snow (obviously)

hope i helped?

Yup thats how i learned d-spins on a tramp... i tried them off the edge of the pool then brought it to the tramp.... They are fun once you get them but be carful because you can easily hurt your neck if you dont do it properly

yea, candide has always been the best at "D-Spins" as far as I would like to think of them. it's a cork 7, but kinda different.

it's funny, i thought the "D-Spin" died with the "Skodeo", the "Dinner Role", and so on and so forth... but here we are, talking about "D-Spins".

As I've always thought about them, it's a cork 7, but more flipped at the end, a la Candide. so do a cork 7, but throw it so that when you are done 360 you are parallel with the ground and instead of keeping the rotation of the spin to get back to your feet you throw your head back to look for your landing instead. This will make you come out of the spin with more of a backflip like feel/look...

but yea, it's essentially just a really corked 7...

honestly here is the easiest way to learn it, screw the whole complicated backfull shit.

1.think cork, just over exagerate the sholder throw

2.follow through with a leading tail grab, keeps the spin going

3.keep your head looking over your shoulder, spot all the way through the trick, cant just feel it as much as ou can with corks
