D-Spin or Corked

in the movie '13' Candide does a d-spin type thing. its his 3rd skiing trick in his segment. i have debated with my friend on what trick this is. if anyone knows what it is. it would help

Probably classified as a d-spin. But like skifreeordie said, sometimes it's so close there's no difference.

hmmm, thats weird, i just happen to watch 13 today and think the same thing.... whoa craziness

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?
 
Yea it was a D-spin. I used to not be able to tell the difference from a cork 9 or a D-spin 9 but it u watch an if u c the corked 3 an then his skis go up for the back flip its a d spin. If the skier just spinning off axis its a cork. Just keep watchin an you can tell the difference

I thought it was a D-spin but that was the earliest d-spin ive seen and i wasnt sure if that mike d was thowing them back then

on a d-spin...your head will be a lot lower than your body (you get more inverted) and a cork...you're more level with the ground (this screwed me up at lake louise yesterday, when i went for a d-spin 7 in the park, and did an overrotated cork 9 instead.... (if you're trying to d-spin...lean back when you throw it...cork...lean a little back and sideways)

 
dspin i look back at the lip of the jump as i go off...for corks i sorta look back down the transition.

works for me

 
I havn't seen the movie, but if he goes inverted it is a d-spin, if not it is corked.

skibum, mike d didn't invent the dspin, there's a guy in quebec whos been throwin them before mike d.

except mike doulgas did invent the dspin, he does the first one in 13, candide does his in the summer, and mike d does his in the x-games

The differance is simple, but people always go in between so it is debateable, a cork is a spin with feet forward head back and paralell to the snow and a d spin is the same to start but then the person rotatesit under to make it a d spin
