D-spin, corked, underflip

As you know a D-Spin is just like a Corked 720 where you get inverted at the end, thats what makes it a D-spin. My friends and I were watching video this weekend a we realized that all really corked 540 (example of tanner at the US Open Slopestyle) look very much like an underflip. So all a Underflip is an inverted Cork 540, or a D-spin 540.

Not saying that we should change the name or anything just thought i would point this out.

Some underflips are like that, a lot of Vinnies are, but some underflips are more like the flare style, if you screw around on the tramp you can notice the difference.

There is a big difference in a cork 5 and an underflip, watch some cork 5s and then watch Jeff Thomas's underflips on here.

there is more than one way to do EVERY TRICK. how about we lose all the name variations. no one is inventing anything anymore. a spin is a spin, no matter if it's corked out a bit or upright and an underflip is just that, etc etc. Lose all this bullshit with naming. At least no one calls rodeos 'skodeos' anymore......faaaaaaaaking christ

theres no such thing as an inverted corked 540 because then it wouldnt be corked if it was inverted would it? if that makes sense.

an underflip isnt off axis...it's a backflip with a 180....a corked 5 is an off axis 5, and inverted 5 is an inverted 5, and there's no such thing as a d-spin 5 (you land straight on your head)

Yeah, people throw tricks a little bit different from everyone else. It depends who you look at, some peoples underflips are very similar to other peoples rodeos. I think people throw a trick with thier own style and think its a totally new trick so they create a name for it. This is where all these new trick names come from. This is what created all the confusion. *Andy* had a good thread about this. Just use the original terms. It makes it so much eaiser for everyone to understand

Haha.... I'm sorry, I just find it really amusing when someone says something in a thread that just goes totally contrary to what everyone else is saying. PocketRocket... an underflip is about the farthest thing you can get from a back 180- although that's what Vinnie was trying to in the first place, was a flare lui kang... but that has no relevance now. I agree with the corked 5 sentiments, but Jeremy Weir is right when he says that it's all just different spins. Lean one way and it's a misty- lean the other way, it's corked. Corked bio d-spin misty flatspin underflip rodeo... all the same thing.

whoever said their was inverted corked 5 has got to be retarded it cant be inverted and corked at the same time, corked is off axis not upside down,

Vinnies underflip is 90 degree turn then lincoln then 90 degree turn. He just does it all at one time so it looks like a cork 5. But theres a huge difference. If you have all the freeskiers theres a break down of the unatural cork 5 an one of vinnies underflip i dont know which edition it is though. check that out
