in the new freeze that paul cotter guy or something (backflip to rail in propoganda) says he wants do a d spin 630 to rail. is he serious?...i think he is but does anyone else think this is stupid? i think if he was gonna do it it would look like the ugliest scethiest thing ever and ya it takes balls the size of jupiter, so props to him for the guts but really i don't want to see that, i'd rather see him make a name for himself by his ability to do super steezy 270 onto rails or something like that. ....but i don't even know if he will do it anyway.

 
i dunno if this claim is true but wasnt he the one who did the road gap backflip to rail? if anyone could pull that off its probably him, although it does sound impossible

cotter could do it with a good set up. It wouldn't be that ridiculous, think about it, if yuo're able to stall out a d-spin coming around to 7, how hard would it be to stick it onto a rail (assuming you're balls are the size of mars)

Yea i think it would be sick to see D-spin 630, cuse eveyone now can 270 and this year evey one will beable to 450 and 630. Some one needs to step it up and this guys sean like he will do it.

I've seen sequences of snowboarders doing rodeos to rails, so I think it's definatly possible. Not easy, but possible none the less.

^that guy is right, but not completely. i agree that he is progressing, because someone needs to do it. he is progressing the sport in the sense that without guys making new tricks there would be no progression, but the guys like dash, pep and pollard are progressing the sport just as much. they are taking tricks already done and making them look cool.

it really seems like Jon did gymnastics cause in Ski movie 3 i find it hard to believe that he does a backflip 7 off a 2 foot ledge without a really good sense of rotation in the air.seriously.

the picture of the curved drop rail that jon is doing in freeze doesnt deserve to be in any mag. 1. the jump he uses to get on comes down about 4 steps, then is about a foot below the rail. 2. anybody who is any good at rails at all knows that you need to keep your feet apart. his feet are just over a foot apart. he looks like he could eat it at any second. 3. look where his eyes are pointing. not at the end of the rail, but waaay off to the side. now, we all know that when your sliding, if you look to the side, your body will follow. its obvious that he didnt do the whole rail. why is it in the magazine?

It actually wouldn't be as hard as you might think... lots of people say that corked 7s are a lot easier than regular 7s... wouldn't it make sense for a corked 630 on to be easier than a regular 630 on? You'd have to control your body coming down vertically, rather than spinning horizontally, and that sounds easier to me.

^^^mabey if a reg 630 to rail was easy, to bad its not. but the dspin to rail is there i think the sport will be goin in a few yrs. everyones spinning now we need to flip on to rails. who cares if its ugly the first try. he'll do it better the 2nd and 3rd and he'll make it look decent. it would be sweet though. and i always wondered who taht was in propaganda

yah defeintly sick, but all it should be is like a 30 foot table with a downhill 30 ft rail in the landing. then its just timing with the landing. Balls to the wall, but it'll be done fore sure, and so progressive. Who ever said first time will be ugly, yah there's no doubt about it. The first 360 was definitly ugly too, but now watch tanner in 1242 and you can see its come along way. We'll see what happens with this though.
