medication - pot is stated to be the most theraputic drug know with the least amount of harm. taht goes for any pill you take killing your liver. pot is somtimes the only way to not feel pain, such as glocoma. coke is being found now to also have good medical qualities, and could then be used to treat people.

prices would be reduced because no middle man is present since i can go to the store and buy it. better for the user in this case.

less crime, people constantly rob and steal to get a fix. because demand is high so are prices. if the gov regulated it less money would be needed to get more.

g-13 and other goverment stains are genitically engineered to have max THC content. one batch deemed so high they killed all crops. this would make intake less, allowing the user to smoke but a hit to get ripped instead of a few. cuts down on how much is needed to smoke in the end

drugs will always be around, why not profit off them from a gov point of stance. you aint stopping them so join them.

Yes, pot is a drug. Yes, it hinders the brain. No, it has not shown to cause any permanent damage UNLESS one is exposed to incredibly high levels of cannabinoids. The drug causes the brain to slow down for a period of time. It takes a total of 5 hours usually for the brain and motor functions to return to normal. I personally do not believe that pot should be legalized. I do on the other hand believe it should be decriminalized. 11.8 billion dollars for the war on drugs? Give me a break. The reason pot was illegalized in the first place? During the prohibition, people needed something cheap to satisfy their craving for adventure. Pot was just the thing. Then congress repealed the 18th amendment which states that intoxicating drinks are illegal. The liquor companies discovered that people were beginning to enjoy pot more than their drinks, so they began producing anti-ganja movies and such. These movies showed people getting high, then commiting sensless acts of murder and rape against other innocent people. These movies outraged the general public causing them to go straight to congress and demand that the drug be illegalized. Thus it was. Until the 1940s when we went to war, then it was legalized again for a short time as a victory crop. Ignorance is what has made pot illegal not its 'threat to the welfare of the person smoking it'. This is just what DARE wanted you to believe in the 6th grade.

to answer your question, i do know what nanotechnology is; atoms organized(or rearranged) to perform complicated instructions. You can make a supercomputer the size of a molecule or atom, a cell phone for an ant, and an atom that travels and takes small pictures. It doesnt make you or I smart at all, all you do is read the book 'prey' to have basic concepts of it down(and even more complicated ones)
