Anyways, if your friend chose to take drugs, he put himself at risk of death. He chose to put himself at that risk. There's no way he could've been ignorant of the possible effects given that they're plastered all across mainstream media. It's a shame, of course, but you have to understand that he is responsible for his own actions, and society can't coddle everyone throughout life and figuratively 'hide the poisonous stuff from the baby' forever. At some point, you grow up, you make our own decisions, andlive with the consequences. In this case, he had total control over that decision. No one forced him to take drugs. You don't do them just because they're there. Don't blame society for those choices. The whole point of the system is freedom to make your own, informed, decisions.
