Cypress mountain

I was talking to my dad who heard from somewhere that cypress mountain during the 2010 Olympics that cypress will be the most expensive resort in north America or Canada I forgot. Is this true?

Cypress is hosting a few events for the 2010 Whistler/Vancouver games. They are already expensive as shit, I really hope they don't get more expensive because I can go the same distance and not even buy a lift ticket at seymour.

SOOO EXPENSIVE.

i paid as much for my seasons as whittlers costs ( 520$).

lift ticktes cost like 52$ for a day.

food is 11$ for a cheeseburg fries and pop and isnt anythign special.

fucking to rent a helmet ( which you have to have in the park or they dont let you in) is 7$

if prices go up i may need to change my home mountain.

Grouse sucks! cypress is better. but still cypress sucks and + I think cypress will cost more then whistler Is what my dad heard

ok ok ok ok...im am very very truly sorry
but, if you ride cypress, don't even start complaining..you can spend an extra 30 mins in your car and go to Mt baker where the tickets are 40$ and you get the very fucking best terrain you can find in that area
and
don't even say "well baker doesn't have a park"....because Cypress' park blows fucking ass, and if you would rather ski a cat track all day long and hit their 10 foot jumps and 10 foot walled pipe, when you can be ass deep in powder up to your genitals at baker.....then you my friend are not a true skier

i highly doubt it will cost more that whistler. It will prob go up in price. Grouse is sick right now if you go at good times. The park is soooo good.

Ya Cypress is expensive, but not even close to Whistler ($89) which isn't really close to some resorts in Colorado which are like the same price, but in USD.

cypress' pipe had 23 foot walls last year I believe, they had a few decent sized stepdowns to. And for any north van people like myself it is 15-20 mins to cyp and 2 hours to baker + border crossing time. Cypress is expensive but they deliver so quit being such a bitch.

cypress has always been weak. best skiing yeah hands down, but park is lame. pipe on a pow day just doesn't fly. i donno. who wants to pay 60$ to ski a local hill when other 2 are free. if cypress wants to get a younger core audience they can lower prices or do some promo. otherwise west van you can have your private ski hill, and asians.

went to cypress last night for Storewars. The contest seemed like it would be good, but ended up sucking. They told us there would be 2 qualifier runs and a finals, but then canceled the finals after the 2 qualifiers without notification and used our qualifier runs to judge us for the overall. There was also very limited practise (1 run) and then we were hucking onto ice which was a little wierd. It would have been better to get to session the course for a bit before hand, as the speed was fast and hard to judge. They also told us the skiers and snowboarders would be judged separately, but they ended up judging us together- also lame. Their park was decent though. Some fun features and a decent jump, just really short. Overall that mountain has way better lift accessed skiing than Seymour and the beast that shall not be named, but yah its spendy. Some volly was slanging 20$ lift tickets in the parking lot though, and he claimed he slangs them everyday, so that's a bonus. Seymour sill has the better vibe though.

Yeah, who else is up shredding cypress that wants to ski?

all my friends are super anti stoked and so i just left em

i need some fellow ns'ers to ski with.

and how do you get into grouse/seymour for free?
