Cutting poles

if you mean carbon fiber poles then yes you can cut them. all you need is a pole cutter, they look like this if you dont know what they are, you can buy them at home depot for 10-15 bucks.

hacksaws work best, tape tightly with masking tape where your gonna cut and use a fine tooth blade 32tpi or better... some companies even make special blades for cutting carbon fiber. some guys also you cutting wheels. when done sand down the end for a clean finish.

you will want to wear gloves otherwise you will probably get some nasty splinters, and they hurt like a bitch

i used a circular saw when i cut my goode composite poles and that worked perfectly but they snapped the other day i dont think it had anything to do with cutting them because they snapped right down the middle.

last season i broke 2 pairs of aluminum poles an then snagged a pair of carbon composite poles and i haven't had a break yet. :)

I would make sure you have the pole in a vice right up to where you want to cut make the cut. Seems like vibrations from cutting is what can cause these types of poles to split.

i have a question too

i have K2 Silencer poles from a few years ago

its there an easy way to remove the foam grip and put it back on?

sticking your grips in boiling water for a min or so can loosen them up. Also use a thin screw driver to work the grips off
