Cutting LINE Poles

Anybody know how to get the grips off of LINE poles? I have tried both hot water and a hair dryer to get them off and neither work...

Have you tried putting them into boiling water? or putting them into a vise and tried twisting it?

boiling water I tried, when I have a chance i'll try with a vice

Did u take the bolt and straps off?

yup, although I am cutting both a pair of the "dart" poles as well as the "pin" poles

Did u just twist the bolt off? For some reason I can't seem to get it off. I'm tryin to cut down a pair of darts to so....

im pretty sure there is a little set screw at the base of the grip that you have to loosen with an allen wrench...i can't remember for sure, but i was looking at my pins earlier in the year and figured that's what holds them on.

why are you cutting poles short that already come in super short lengths? especially the pins at shorter than 42 inches, you might as well not use poles.

im not really concerned with cutting the pins, they are already short enough. I just cant figure out how to get the grips off of the darts
