Cutting Line darts

Someone who have tried to cut line darts? not sure if the grip will come off if i heat it in water, because looks like it's some kind of plastic under the rubber grip.

i am trying to do that right now. i bought mine way to big and would like to bring them down like 5 inches or so. the grip has some kind of plastic on it and i havent yet tries to heat it up, but if it works i'll tell you. unless you already have done it by now, if so send me a message on how it worked

I bought mine in my shop at 44 inches and got them to cut them down to 42 inches. Perfect park length. I didn't think you could get darts in 42 inches... The shop cut them down but yes apparently it's possible.

I bought the 36" pins

I wish i got the 40" because the 36s feel useless anywhere out of the park...

lucky i got free poles with my Night Trains :)

hot water. crank the grip off. its just like other poles. That plastic you see is attached to the grip. I cut down my brother's for him.

because unless you are under like 5 foot, poles that short are utterly functionless, youd be better off just riding without poles

I think that he just meant that they are certainly not "way to big" for you...unless your like 4'8" or something.

For instance, I'm 6' tall and a shop would size me with a 50" pole, so technically that is my correct size. I would consider something like 60" "way to big" for me. I prefer something around 46" which is technically on the small side even though most people on NS would consider them normalish.

I also think that 39" is pretty much useless, but that's just me...then again I don't ski much park.
