Cutoff Date for Epic Passes

Have Vail resorts always had a cutoff date for their Epic Passes and then not sell them during the season? I saw this and I can't remember them doing it in past seasons, although I didn't buy an Epic last season. I'm specifically referring to NStar and Heavenly. I feel like that's bs with the way Tahoe has been the past 3 years.

Im pretty sure tomorrow is the cut off date for ALL the epic passes. I think its pretty lame, but it definitely makes them more money having to sell regular day tickets/multiday tickets. I have just about skied my pass worth this year already.

Ya the cutoff date is one of the many scummy things Vail likes to do to force you to buy full price day passes. Looks like I'm not skiing with a lot of my friends this year.
