What is the best way to customize crowbars? I've searchbarred and this is what I've gotten.

Sand with fine sandpaper

Prime

Latex paint

or:

as long as they're a light color (white, grey, etc) just boil some rit dye and throw them in there (without the lenses, of course). Turn down to a simmer and swirl it around for 30-60 minutes. I would keep the goggles from touching the bottom of the pot, since the heat might warp the plastic. Take out and dry.

It would be awesome if someone could explain in detailed steps how to TAKE APART the goggles, get the FOAM off without ruining it and the best way to paint/dye the goggles so that it's very DURABLE. Also how to do sweet designs and patterns.

++++++++++++K

You can dye the outriggers and the straps but not the frames. Taking off the foam is not a good idea. Just mask over it and spraypaint of you want to do the frame.

They're broken so it doesn't matter. I smashed the lenses last year and I'm already getting another pair. Any help please. Somebody has to know how to do this.

If you boil it in rit dye..... What you do is get the water to a boil..... then take it off the boiling surface and add the dye into the pot.... stir for about 30 seconds..... add is much dye as you need to get the right color.... DO NOT put the pot back onto the burning surface.... add in your frame or whatever your dying.... and you can pull it out occasionally to see how much more you need.... AND YOU GOT YOUR AMAZING FRAMES!!!! BOOYAH!

oh and you must dye a light colored frame.... if it is not light colored you can bleach it first before you dye them...

oh if you want sweet desings.... put good tape over a certain part that you dont want to be dyed the color, and then take of the tape when your done dying it with the other color...

personally (no hate) but i think this kind of customizing is fucking bullshit. i mean, its rad people trading parts so their crows are mixed up with differnt riggers and straps etc. because you can make it personal and your own style. but just painting your own crowbars is gay in my eyes and is just a cheats way at having some cool looking goggs. if everyone starts just painting their crowbars cool colors then its just going to turn into a massive joke and crowbars will be ruined. people wont want offical crowbars so will start buying the cheapest ones customising them and run the crowbar market dead. it will also make people loose respect for real and sick crowbars!!!

what kind of tape won't come off in boiling RIT dye? also how do I take outriggers and straps off? how do u protect the foam and can I dye the straps as well?

just get multiple color dyes, and tie-dye them. it involves tying the fabric and then dying one part in a color. idk for outriggers tho, maybe tape them?

I Don't know if this helps.

o.k. here is the deal,

for the denim crowbars all you can do is sand them down. it acutally looks good after.

Next is dying, you can dye your crowbars any color but the color you are dying them needs to be darker than theyre original color. Also you dont need to boil thw water you just need as hot tap water as possible. oh and dont try taking the foam of, the foam will not dye. yummm these turned out well!

IMPORTANT!

I would never tell anyone to paint the frames ever! the paint will get on the foam and make it crusty and bad and it will not turn out well. but painting riggers and the band can turn out sooooo sick.

dyed band and painted riggers.

So if there was anything i forgot about just let me know.

no thats not gold irid , you can see through gold irid and its no even that gold. thats fire irid.

and why would you want to paint vents? i guess you cant dye them so you would need topaint them. but if you paint them it will not be good. Wisdoms suck get crowbars.

I have an extra pair of white riggers...and the Danny Kass setup with a fire irid lense and a pink irid lense.

I wonder what would be bad ass to do to my extra riggers....I want antifreeze colored riggers. But something that goes with the Kass black / white / yellow scheme might be nice as well.

not sure if embeded works..

here is the link

here is my question,

i want to dye my cbars, but in a cool pattern. so if i mask up some stripes, then dye them, will that work? like the crowbars above me, the black ones with the red and white stripes. if so what could i use to mask? just some tape? +k for help
