Define quality? Like what are the specs on the wood? For instance what thickness of wood has been used for these? I am also an avid longboard builder and the price seems a little steep.

i use 4 1/4 inch baltic birch layers, my price may be different than yours based on your wood supplier.

yeah that wouldn't be good im gonna start using 1/4 inch to reduce the cost!

oh and pm me some pics of your boards!

ya i currently use 1/4 because thats all i have in my area. i can't really get any concave into my boards but i like mine flat anyway. i can do that. i only build drop thru's though and the design is relatively the same on every one.

Dude you need to get some better shapes. I have been building boards for a while and at the start it is really fun to make crazy looking boards but you need to get some more standard shapes and some side to side concave if you want to be selling them. Side to side concave makes the board much stronger so you can do more on your board instead of just push around. I would be worried about a board like yours breaking while I did an early grab off of a curb.

Yeah. i broke many a board before i started pressing multiple plies and using harder wood. makes all the difference. plus your feet grip better w/ concave

Quite possibly the worst value in a longboard I have ever seen.

A buddy of mine started a garage company called incline longboards and makes high quality 7ply + 2 fiberglass ply decks in a number of more reasonable and better shapes and sells for 90 a piece.

you do two plies of 1/4"? thats basically like cutting out the shape from half inch ply and calling it a longboard and selling it for 150.

good for your friend, as you can see earlier in the thread, my wood is priced fairly high from my retailer, so congrats for you friend but quite frankly i Dont give a shit so get off my thread

you're missing my point.

1/8th inch plies are not that expensive, I don't give a fuck who your retailer is, 2 sheets of 1/4" large enough to make a longboard doesn't cost shit. I could do what you're doing for 20 bucks, and that's with stain and epoxy. If you're selling boards at a 750% markup and think anyone is going to buy into that shit you're fucking retarded. You can buy an awesome deck for 85 bucks that is going to last infinitely longer and have concave and a logical shape.

but obviously you're too fucking stubborn to listen to me and are only out to scam kids on NS to make a quick buck.

I SELL THE BOARDS COMPLETE! This means wheels trucks ect ect are already with the board! if you can do that for $20 i will admit defeat
