Hey so I've seen some people on newschoolers who have bought a blank ski and created their own graphic on it...I was wondering where you can get a blank ski and how you draw the graphic(paint, marker, etc.). Karma for help

go to Michael's or another arts and craft store and ask for the burliest permanent marker they stock

a hardwear store might have something

as for blank skies.....

i have to clue..

never heard of blank skis. burton did a limited run of snowboards that came with markers. that was pretty cool. are you sure they aren't a) a graphic you havent seen before or b) sticker topsheets from dekal.com? maybe they got protos, which have been known to have plain white topsheets.

Im pretty sure that they just spray painted like 5 really light white coats and then did the details.

If you aren't that much of an artsy person, a sticker would be the easiest way to go, however if you are an artsy person or you rly wanna do it yourself, go as mentioned, roughen the ski up a bit, remove all grease, and apply first layer of paint, then repeat depending on the paint you use 3-5 layers are great i think...

Then do whatever you want with your skis, i stenciled mine and its great, if you dont know where to start, check out the forums/tutorials on www.stencilrevolution.com...

(really dont, use crappy paint, youll end up having to paint more layers for the same result, and paying the same or even more money in the end...)

Then when youre done, i would finish it off with some layers of clear varnish so you wont ruin your piece of art on your first day of skiing...

Have fun, and dont rush it, you dont want to ruin your skis, take your time for it...
