Cuba VS. Cancun

A few friends and I are planning a trip down south next winter. Call us what you want be we're going for the typical spring break party deal, no we aren't jockotrons we just think it would be dope. So the dilemma is that we originally wanted to hit up Cancun, then a bunch of girls we know told us they're going to Cuba. Going with these chicas isn't a big deal for me (it sort of is for a few friends), the thing is Cuba could save us each over 500$ probably and we'd get a nicer hotel/resort. However, it seems like Cuba is hype and all, but Cancun is really next level. Anyways, hit me up with some opinions/experiences to help out with the decision. Thanks NS.

P.S. Is the drinking age in these resort areas (hotels and bars) 18+ or 21+? I know a lot of Americans go there so they could boost the legal age.
 
dont worry about legal age i was 16 and had the ''18+ wristband'' (that was in cuba)

i also went in cancun for 1 day (i was on a cruise) and the beah is soooo beautiful, i had plenty of fun on both places

it all depends on which you have a better deal

cuba isnt really what i think of as a "vacation spot" more like hell? haha

i personally think i would stay away from cuba.... just my 2 cents though......
 
Cuba was rad. We were there in November like, 5 years ago. I was only 15 but i still loved every minute of it. If you go to Veradero, which is like the Cancun of Cuba, its a huge party town, not to mention that Cuba is a beautiful country. Havana is probably one of the coolest cities I have ever been to. But if you are an American, can't you not go to Cuba? Or is that a part of history now?

 
haha cubans dont give a fuck about legal age if you look old enough they give you the wristband for FREEEE ALCOOHOOOOOOLLLL!!!!!!
 
its against the law for Americans to go to Cuba...if the government finds out you were there since like 1959 you'll get put in jail and fined some money
 
fuck cancun, commercial bullshit. def go to Cuba, that would be amazing, Cuba's the shit. i just saw the doco, "The power of community" amazing, Cuba's has got life down. Apart from the execution of political dissidents part.
 
cuba for sure, cancun is too popular/touristy. think of all the cool shit in cuba too, like cheap cuban cigars, those awesome sandwiches, fidel castro, and Tony Montana! haha
 
Well, it seems like we're going to hit up Cancun. I know Cuba is sick but Cancun is next level shit. More input is appreciated though, bump!
 
If your lookin for a more rowdy "spring break" time, defiately go to Cancun. The clubs/bars are hoppin' every night. Cuba is a nicer place to relax, and find one nice girl to sleep with every night of you all inclusive stay. If you wanna get sloppy and bang a different chick like a hammer each night, then Cancun is your best bet.
