I've been travelling for 2 years and when I got back 3 weeks ago I thought i'd get back onto Counterstrike Source. I play 1.6 aswel but my old server never seems to have anyone playing on it now.

I play on this server quite a lot 91.192.210.39:27015

I noticed there were a couple of threads but they were made at the begining of 2009.

Put your e-mail address or game name in this thread if your still keeping the CS:S dream alive. It would be cool to get all NS players in one place.
 
ur retarted... css came out in Q3 2004 and cod came out Q4 of 2007.

they are totally different... but css is even better, it is unbelievably customizable.

i used to play CSS about 6 hours a day at least, i was boss... played in a gun game CAL league and it was dope

played reg CAL too... gun game was just fun as shit

they only had it for 1 season though cause it wasnt nearly as popular and the competition pretty much sucked.

I played CS:S for a bit back when i slayed noobs at CoD and CoD:2... i kinda miss the good ole PC FPS days... shame my laptop is too shitty to run CS:S now.
 
honestly i wanna find a new fps like source, but not cod cause that shit's too easy and the hitboxes suck
cause it died when CAL died
 
counter strike source is a great game however 1.6 is better, played them on and off for the past 8 years, it would be could to start it uip again but there are not enough public servers left..

but cs:s is for people that didnt play CS 1.6 or 1.5

css hitboxes arent as good as 1.6

but cod4 is just retarded when it comes to hitboxes.... its just fuckin xbox kids spraying
 
yes i agree about that. it was a lot of people who picked up hl2 and loaded up cs:s to give it a go. coming over from 1.5/6 you could go into a server and run it with just a deagle.

when i played regular cod:4 i didn't think the boxes were that bad.
 
it is clear that you need skill to be good at 1.6. Iheard there is a new counter strike coming out within the net few years is this true?
 
Yer I used to play 1.6 and 1.5, I agree about the hitboxes. In CS:S your getting headshots left right and centre but on 1.6 it takes a lot more skill.

don't know. planning on not to be playing pc games in the next few years. its too easy so i spend too much time on it. with console controller games i get frustrated and stop after an hour and do something productive.

I used to play a shit load of CSS. I think that every modern version of it (1.6 cz, source) are some of the best fps games ever.
 
fuck that game was good, i was so addicted for a while, does anyone remember the "downloading and initiallizing" text when you were joining a server, that was sweet cause it was always such a bitch for me to join servers in 1.5
