does anyone else think its gay how people lay there skis in line then go into the lodge to stay warm in the morning before the lifts open... cause it really pisses me off. if u want first chair on a day with a foot of freshh... u better damn well wait in line for it.

Get some white string and tie their skis together at the brakes. They will either fall trying to walk in the liftline or they will just be stuck and you can pass them~
 
It's worse when the buses run through the schools. The first 5 chairs are taken up by kids like myself. Although I do wait there but im always first chair since we are in the lift line by 7:30.
 
I am buying a spring pass to crystal since its a pretty awesome deal for an extra 2 months of skiing. I'll be there on sunday~
 
Great day indeed, but a few things occured to me.

1. Crystal cant run their lifts for shit. Chinook was broken down for the majority of the day and forest queen was broken down for a couple hours as well.

2. The gondola is garbage. Half as fast as it should be and 1/3-1/4 the number of cars they should have.

3. Nobody at crystal understands how to use a singles line. I don't know how many 15 minute waits we skipped by going to a singles line with 0-3 people in it.

4. Crystal probably spent 10k or more heli bombing today. Learn to bomb tram.

Yeah weird day for sure. Been skiing there 15 years and I've never seen em have that many issues with the lifts. Wondering if they were having power issues. Gondy was even running slow...
 
Finally got up mid week. 1000x better. But I rode over to the Bear Pit blast zone & checked it out today, shit was wild. And Tyler Ceccanti got let in to Southback when I was right behind him, they closed it in my face. Apparently avalanches hold for pro skiers and their film crew.
 
I skied that shit today. It was dope. and Tyler Cincinati or whatever fuck heads name is needs to put a god damn smile on his face. This is too amazing days of skiing in a row that I have seen him looking pissed off. I guess that is what you get for trying to be a film segment premadonna. The skiing was too damn good to worry about filming any shit.
 
I think this may be the first time I have ever agreed with you on anything. All this time I've been thinking I've been posting with a complete dusher. but secretly, you're not a dusher...
 
Yes I thought about what I said and realized that one agreeable statement is not enough. He's still a dusher. And I'll be up every saturday once Snoqualmie closes. Were you there on wednesday?
 
We were at stevens on tuesday then had class wed. May be at crystal next tuesday since I believe stevens is closed midweek then~
 
holy shit, have you guys seen some of the recent avalanches? the one at bear pits is fucking huge... its like a 6ft crown or something. i heard from patrol that it took out some 100+ year old trees.

^^ apparently this one went within 75 yards of the owners house... lol
 
what's the story with the jib park at crystal? I heard that it will be taken down after the regular season ends, but someone mentioned today that management would be keeping it around for the spring season. Can anyone give me some facts?
 
Andy just man up (or should I say fag up, it is crystal) and buy a spring pass. You need to ski as much as possible before you leave for no man's land~
 
Just talked to Petey on the park crew today. they are gonna keep the park where its at until May 8th (new end of "regular" season) then move features over to Green Valley. he said it won't be as big (how much smaller can it get...) but they are gonna try to put in some unique features.

On a side note, I rode under that avalanche the next day on Bear Pits and it was gnarly. Some huge ass trees just got destroyed.
 
Crystal on thursday is going to be stupid good. Anyone else planning on heading up early on thursday? I need some carpool action (you drive or I drive). Also maybe someone who actually knows where they are going. I just ski down in random directions~
 
I may be heading up on Thursday morning as well. There is a possibility for a spot or two open in my truck from the Issaquah/North Bend area. My friends have first dibs, but if they don't get back to me soon enough then I will have some room.
 
I bought one of those $25 groupon passes....looking less and less likely that i'll make it up there so if anyone wants it get at me
 
#1 way to look like a retard.

1. Loudly declare yourself to be the best skier on the mountain to 60 people waiting in line to get up campbell.

2. Huck cliff without checking landing.

3. Dislocate shoulder and spend 3 hours trying to get it back in.

4. ????

5.Profit

Definitely a good day today.

Did they ever open Campbell back up? We only got one lap in before they closed it down. Best snow was in the trees though, no crust layer whatsoever, it felt bottomless.
 
Did you come up over to the beacon search area with your dislocated shoulder? If so, it was me and a buddy doing the beacon course and I remember you. If that was you, my buddy Tom who went inside with you said it looked pretty bad.
 
Well I was right above the beacon search area, I traversed across to a ski patroller. He said they had a burial so I just held my arm up and skied down past campbell to the base area~
