Crystal Mountain BC Booter Session

During the 2007-2008 winter, a gigantic backcountry booter session will held, slayed, and documented at Crystal Mountain, WA. The plan is to build at least two jumps in one area of eitehr northback or southback, both with a soft and powdery landing, with a possibility of a box and/or a rail being hiked in.

it's going to be huge. We don't normally have a lot of people up to build and such, but if we get some NSers on board it could be actually pretty sweet. More shovels + tons of snow = a lot of fun.

 
crystal=retarded. build it at stevens or snoqualmie, if I forked out the money for a crystal pow day I would not want to stop and build a jump. Let alone 2 jumps. To build two solid sized jumps in a row with inrun would take 1-5 days of just building, then another day to actualy ski it if it has not been distroyed, so say 3 days total, $120 to build a couple of jumps and ski them, I say no.

But anyways it would be more like one huge ass booter that we would make before and everybody just has to show up and take their hits.

Well if you don't want to go whatever. It's not your fun thing then. I just happen to ride crystal a lot and I think it would be cool to have a big BC booter session somewhere thats close enough to everyone.
 
so do it right smack in the middle at stevens or snoqualmie. baker would be the best but it is in the north and crystal is in the south. so go for the middle two.
 
too bad neither me, madsteezin, or any of the other guys who thought of doing one know the BC of snoqalmie or stevens well enough.

Perhaps you guys could enlighten us? I know we're doing one at crystal already though.
 
so way back one time when 6 was closed or broken or some such busines, we decide to go build one on the roll far lookers left of the basin, below the throne... i think we unpacked the shovels and marked out the shape when this assfuck with no jacket, his beacon on over his overalls and some badasssssssssss olins came and essentially explained that BC booters are both illegal and a waste of our time and money, whereas buying a sled would be much more cost effective... or something like that.

moral of story: crystal volly patrolers ... 70% retarded and pretty much everywhere, so good luck with that. and dont give me shit about location, not like the lake jump is particularly out of the way. though i want to hit a big jump too.

I've seen boarders break out shovels to build a little booter or prep a lip........only to have Crystal patrol come along and break out shovels to destroy it.

You'd probably make their career if you were building multiple booters AND handing out weed to little kids.

 
Build it in the treeline leading to the lake. You can't build it huge there but atleast its out of the way. If it's out of the way patrollers don't have a problem. There have been booters built that last a good part of the season in the treelines.
 
^Exactly, what bowl. Plan a booter session later in the year, we had a pretty epic one at Alpental last year... with an ungodly kicker I continually ate shit off of.
 
except out there you can build bigger jumps with a bigger landing and you dont have to worry about patrol breakin the thing down.
 
I'll be down to hit a kicker where ever. I vote for stevens though cause of $$$. Do it across the highway on the way to heather ridge (skyline ridge?). Not in resort = free.
 
well I won't be attending one anywhere else, I blew a shitload of cash on the crystal season pass and I plan to be skiing at least 14 days straight during winter break and a ton afterwards too.
 
why do you think no one else wants to ski there. toooooooo expensive. besides a bc booter should be in the bc and the bc should be FREE
 
Crystal is increadably far away. it is an hour from the nearist town of any size and that town is an hour away from the rest of the world.
