seeing them live would be crazy, did you guys know that their song courtship dating was stolen and put in ayo technology by 50 cent and timbaland? the beat is the exact same, and they released it earlier. timbaland obviously gave them no recognition or even asked.

and yeah i listen to them there an awesome band.

im pretty jealous i hope i can see them live sometime.
 
Wrong, a good friend of mine dj's for them and does remixes, and I know alice to some degree and timbaland paid them mad cash to use that song, he does it all the time most of his beats are bought, in fact my friend and I are writing some beats/rhymes right now to sell to him.
 
Seeing them live is super sick, I've seen them five times and they all kill whoever they open for/whoever opens for them. Whats even cooler then watching them live is doing coke with them back stage....epic.
 
thats funny because i also know some dude that opened up for them and did a remix of their song air war which was featured on the air war single vinyl release and he said that ethan told him that timbaland straight up stole the track. i cant remember the story exactly but it had something to do with ethan getting invited to test out the new pro tools or logic, he did that sample, saved it in their database, took it with him and then he suddenly heard his shit on the radio.

And who's your friend cause that shits pretty cool, my buddy's name is David Wolf he does some great remixes. They definitely could have had that beat stolen, all I know is that timbaland does buy beats and has used CC beats.
 
i saw them back in september when they opened for metric, sooo good. went to some warehouse in denver and they DJed that party, incredibly fun.

soulwax? Never heard. Anybody have some other awesome music suggestions along this genre?
 
you mean Timbo buys the beats straight up finished?, I'm pretty sure he only uses the sample and rework the drums ... anyway, Timbalands getting lazy these days, I prefered when made some more original beats i.e. less unchanged loop sampling

and for Crystal Castles ... yeah their sick, I admire their work, but it sounds too much 8-bit for me ( or whatever it's called)
