Crushin Cans

I’m thinking of getting jeffreys next season. I ride pretty much only park, and do 50% jumps 50% rails ik they’re an all mountain ski but will they still be good just in the park or should I get Crushin cans

The first crushing cans that came out are on the old mag 102 platform I’m almost positive so read any of the reviews online for that. I’m not sure if they changed the shape it’s run on yet, but I do know the mango 100 is coming at some point to replace the mag 102

I believe it’s the same ski just a different top sheet….

anyway OP, I owned the Cans, the Jeffrey 108 and the Jeffrey 96. I like the Jeffs a lot more but I’m also not a park skier, so I wasn’t a huge fan of the detune or the very close to center mount point. That being said I believe Scott has mentioned a few times that a lot of their team will ski Jeffrey’s in the park mounted +2 of recommended. I like the overall experience of skiing the Jeffrey more but again I’m not a park skier, so I don’t like center mounts and stuff anymore, I like carving and all mountain performance
 
I would kill for the filthy rich to come back. What’s the deal with the huge decline in symmetrical park skis? Kinda annoying honestly, I don’t wanna feel like a damn goon doing a switch 2 or making switch carves.

Yeah man I've noticed that too. My older CT 1.0 are fully symmetrical but newer models have a thinner tail. Vishnu really are the only ones maybe surface that still make them

We’re talking 5mm difference. I’m still going to hold out and say that when you are skiing switch, you significantly change where your center of gravity is in relation to the center of sidecut anyways, and sidecut, flex and mount point is much more impactful to the ‘feel’ than geometry differences that small. I’ve also tried symmetrical and non sym versions of some skis back to back, and for me, it’s honestly hard to tell the difference. But the placebo effect is a real effect.

Definitely not a placebo. I’ve been riding full symmetric for 4 seasons now and recently tried on my buddies skis that had a 6mm difference between tip and tail and I could definitely notice a difference. It just feels more unstable. I don’t like seeing skinny ass tails when I ski switch, and I can definitely feel it.

What brands and what models. I would almost assure you the differences you feel are more from construction and not geometry.

On3p mag 102 for a few runs and used ro

rids the 90 for a whole season. has a 6 mm difference if I am correct, also tried nomad 95s on for a run (10mm difference) and I didn’t like the feel of those switch it was way more noticeable than the on3ps. Guess it’s something I’ll have to get used to since the nomads are something I’ll likely switch to. But I would like to try the on3ps again in a 181.

Ngl I do definitely notice a difference between fully symmetrical and asymm so I agree w u there, but I don’t think it’s as drastic as you make it out to be. Riding any ski from the ski ur used to and ride daily feels like a massive difference. But I think a few days to get the feel of a setup would make the difference less intense

I’m interested to see how the nutty rocker on those performs when trying butters/nollies and shit. Plus I would appreciate the absolute brick solid sound those things give in landings. Seriously considering picking up a used pair.

I’d highly recommend. They fucking sucked brand new not gonna lie. Once they broke in a bit tho good lawd they rip. Can confidently say the rocker allows me to stick some serious extra length and ease of initiation into any trick comin off of the tips or tails
