what kind of music do you guys listen to when you go on drives longer than than 20 25 minutes?

i myself dont mind the trippy wierd peaceful music.

i usually listen to mellow reggae kind of stuff but sometimes i like more up beat music and go for some classic rock and what not

every long epic journey deserves some coheed and cambria.

for general cruising I always play night train by guns n roses.

for those times when its raining or snowing and everyone is driving 50 miles per hour on the highway, some as i lay dying. I need aggressive music to aggressively pass people.

for creepin round the hood, play some real nigga roll call.

I like putting 99 problems on before i arrive somewhere.

for driving around smoking a blunt, wanna be a baller.

when smoking a j, slightly stoopid.

and for hitting the road at 10 A.M with the sun shining, about to go on a great trip...my guilty pleasure, the great escape by boys like girls.

yeah i second that. coheed is such a good band to listen too on long drives because the more you listen the more you like them and then you cant stop.

for any epic journey, I have only 4 words. King. Diamond. Welcome. Home. other than that, alot of hip hop is sick for cruising, or anything good for singing along.

depending on the mood, one of 5 mixes:

80's mix - bon jovi, LOTS of journey, Styx, Bruce, Billy Joel

Jimmy Buffett mix - self explanatory

the chill/relaxed mix - Rich Price, Stephen Kellogg, Ian Murray Band, James Taylor, David Gray

Bluegrass/jam mix - phish, Yonder Mountain, Blue Highway, Umphrey's McGee, Dead, Pizza Tapes

James Taylor mix- also self explanatory

ed banger records

electro type stuff like vicarious bliss, headman, tronik youth, surkin, etc. too many to name

depends on what exactly I'm cruising for

just because - whatever I feel like, usually Rap regga, rock, or whatever I'm in the mood for

If I'm out to drive - techno., and other stuff that gets me in the mood to drive

If I'm going somewhere - usually the radio

Then there are always those days were my engine is the soundtrack to my drive (but those are usually the days where I'm like FU
