yeah it looks pretty sweet, and the fact that he is nasty doesnt hurt either, his segment in Ski Movie 3 with the jump that looks like hes in the air for an hour.... fuckin sick

I think it's good to have a high profile skier with an original style because although crossed up tricks look dope and are one of the things that can sometimes make tricks look so much better than the same trick on a snowboard, they are getting kind of played out. It doesn't hurt if you throw in a bio 12 to boot either.

He doesn't have style, you all read it in freeze, 'i'm trying to make my style look like tanner and pollards'...No, i think we've all agreed that being a good skier is because of you UNIQUE style, ur a good skier cuz ur style stands out, not cuz u take it from someone else

Yes I agree dave....CR has no defined 'style' if you can label it anyways. Although each rider is unique he (CR) doesn't ski in any particular way that makes him stand out. This does not detract from the fact that he kicks ass as a skier at all. Also, like Dave said....this whole ghetto image crap is gay. CR I garauntee you has not lived in he ghetto and anyone who says otherwise is retarted. Yes, many of them have had rough upbringings and troubles ect. But as a rule most people that ski have enought money to survive, and survive well. I garauntee you that no kid from the 'ghetto' black or white has even come remotely close to becomming a pro skiier. PS stop talking like rappers ( in the sense like you actually believe you are one)... that is just plain gay. I agree that their songs are catchy and have a good beat and are cool to listen too. But I'm sorry, none of you live in their world, and even if you think you do....you don't, so go get some counselling. P.S. you arent black...and I would assume-theorize that nearly 97 percent of this forum is white suburban kids. With that said we should build more artificial ski places for summer time because I am going out of my mind here without snow.

In Happy Dayz he says himself he didn't come from the city. He even badmouths people acting like they're from the city, but then he went on to talk about coming from the woods and being part of the North Shore mafia... so then I lost the respect he was about to get for those few lines.

 
I don't know but it's kinda wierd seing a skier, someone thats in the mountains all day not on the streets, wearing pureplayaz. It's not like i care what he wears. But i don't want skiing to be associated with, crap like that.

 
there is a ZERO possibility for everyone to have a unique style. i am fucking sick of seeing people posting shit like that. EVERYONE takes things from what they see and uses it for themselves. not just in skiing but in every aspect in life. if you see something you like, you try to do it. once you work on it, it can become your own, but just remember there is always someone somewhere doing it the same as you or better. quit trying to say how it's gay that some people try to follow other people's style. what are they supposed to do instead? ski down the hill swinging their poles by the pole straps wearing pink neon and a pair of rollerblades slung over their shoulder on a pair of skis they carved from a log? fuck that. think about it.

Yes joker does make a good point except for the fact that.....A) it doesnt relate to the topic at hand...and B) who is he talking too? You emulate your idols and them people emulate you when you get good. But, some people do it better, or different that others. Thats what we are referring it to when we say 'style'.

I can't see how people have zero style though...think about it...yes each person does an cross, but they each tweak it differnetly and throw it at different times and at different angles and with different hands. The way in which they do it is what we are referring to as style, not the fact that they all do crosses in say a 360. *smack* ?

All that means is Skier A likes what skier B is doing, and he has fun doing it too, so he does it. NOTHING MORE. Ok, CR has incredible style. Have you seen The Front Line? That is one of the best opening segments ever. His entire segment is sick, most of it coming from backcountry. His ghetto attitude may seem gay, but I bet that there are a number of people posting here that try to pull off that image. It's that trend today, give it a while it'll pass. I got to talk to him for like ten minutes and he was really chill. He wasn't at all 'full of himself.' He and the rest of the pros are the same as us. The only difference is that they are a hell of a lot better so they get recognized for it. The shit someone was saying about him talking trash in Happy Dayz wasn't him. It was the song during his segment that one of his friends rapped. It's a song ok, why would he go dissing people. He deserves the props for throwing sick tricks just like tanner, jon, candide, and everyone else, but what the hell is up with everyone dissing them in threads. All of the mountains need to open up really soon so that everyone can get out skiing and stop bitching because they have nothing better to do.
