Crossover judging?!

time to break out the ol FIS SUCKS shirts...seriously all the old geriatric men at FIS should be sent to nursing homes, they are so clueless.

Is scotty lego taking a shot at us with that comment?

"It would discredit our sport and it would discredit the Olympics if this were to pass. It makes no sense at all ... It's like having a figure skating judge on our judging panel."

pretty dumb. saving costs is such a lame excuse. all the old school skiers are just taking shots at us NSers by trying to screw us over because they know NS is the present/future of skiing.

well i mean arials/moguls/slopestyle/pipe/snowboarding are all pretty similar right? lets just have one set of judges for all of it! idiots

What a horrible idea. They say they want "efficiency and economy" what a joke!! It's the freakin' Olympics!! It's probably the least economical sporting event in the world in terms of how much time and money it takes to organize, build and run. If this happens, it's only going to be bad for skiing and snowboarding alike. I'm pretty sure they can spare the expense and effort of having a few more judges on staff, seeing as it IS the worlds largest and most viewed sporting event that only happens once every four years.

We kinda had a "honeymoon" with the FIS since they were starting to act nicely towards skiing(adding slope/pipe, using AFP judges, etc.). But now it's over, get ready to get raped by the FIS.

this sucks for skiing and snowboarding alike. hope it doesn't blend the two sports together in the eyes of non skiers and boarders.

Seriously, I was thinking the same thing. It was nice while it lasted. If they only realized how much revenue including skiing (pipe and slope) and snowboard (slope) is actually going to generate for them...so pathetic.

The only thing that might have an impact on this, is if the athletes themselves made it very public they wouldn't compete if there is crossover judges. If Tom, Bobby, Kaia, Shaun White, Torstein, Gretchen, etc all said they wouldn't show up, and were very public about it, it may influence someone in the higher levels.

you guys are discrediting the judges. this may not be the BEST thing to do, but hell, if its done RIGHT, and judges are taught properly how to judge a run, i think it can be ok.

no not the case. I dont want our judges to "be taught how to judge" by some stupid fucking formula for calculating the best score.

WAIT! I'm almost positive Chug said they were communicating thoroughly with him and other top notch athletes about what they wanted. It must have been Chug's idea as he thoroughly was supporting FIS! I bet it was just his idea!

This should be a wake up call to all those pro athletes who were supporting FIS so blindly and saying what happened in other sports could not possibly happen in ours. Shits happening.
