Tuck it up and point your toes in. Also, the ski that crosses over the other doesn't have to be right on top of the bottom one. It can be a little above. It also helps to poke them out the the side a bit, as it puts your ankles at a better angle to get a good cross. Once you start grabbing them, you can really push or pull your ski to make it better. If you have a trampoline or something, practice there. It really does help. Just keep doing them though and you'll get them.
