Crossfit anybody?

I've done it for over a year personally. Anybody else on NS into that? Any thoughts as to how is compares to other forms of working out?

CF got me into lifting seriously. There are many pros and cons to the workouts, which can vary greatly by gym, and will sometimes be incredibly stupid. The community at a CF gym also varies greatly; some are small, warm, and welcoming af, while others are exclusive and douchey.

Olympic lifting is fucking dope and Crossfit introduced me to that, but CF also bastardizes these lifts and I've seen normal people doing these with AWFUL form and these L1 cert coaches will be adding weight to the bar. Oly lifts require a steep learning curve that can't be taught exclusively by a CF gym in my opinion, unless the coaches are very, very good

Very accurate describtion of crossfit gyms haha. yeah Olympic lifting is the best, and likeep you said the coaching matters so much, are head coach/owner was a comprehensive bodybuilder for years before crossfit was invented so he's always be tons of help with form and dieting.. the main reason I took it up to begin with was to train for a tough mudder and know I'm hooked on those and Spartans, so fun
 
The crossfit gym that I go to is very smart about teaching people and they recommend that you take their form clinic in order to make sure that you don't get injured. In regards to people hating on crossfit because you get injured all of the time it just seems unjustified as the reason (a majority of the time at least) that people get injured doing crossfit is because the movements and lifts that are done are complex and engage multiple muscle groups meaning that if the movement is not performed properly by one group it compromises the other groups thus putting you at a higher risk of injury. All in all crossfit is dope and I think it really helped me become a better athlete.

yeah I'm really into it, just started a couple months ago and love it! 💪🏾💪🏾 Pm me and we can have a real conversation about it.

Lol, thing about going to the gym for gains "cause cardio is for pussys" is that once you stop you'll be fat af, and no cardio means you never be able to last long enough to ever really satisfy a girl.

I'd rather be fat than do crossfit. And I fucking hate fat people.
