^put in letters while you are crocheting. to change colors just do the normal stitch until you have the two loops on your hook, then pull the new color through and keep going. you will have to bring the old color to the inside also.

dont limit to hats, just try anything you can think of. some good suggestions were thrown out on here.

for the person who asked about learning, dont try to teach yourself, its a pain in the ass. try to learn from somebody that knows it, in person. the absolute best way to learn id say
