hello newschoolers:

i am attempting to crochet a hat for a special friend as a christmas gift. i realize there is a cult for this, and i would very much like an invite to it. any step-by-step instructions would be great, because i have no clue what im doing. i was trying to follow a youtube video, but im to retarded to figure out the double stitch thing. so, please help!!
 
haha yeah that double looped think messed me up too yesterday when i tried to learn... someone explain it please
 
How are you trying to do it top down or bottom up? Go with the top down method, its easier and it will look better.
