you people aren't charging enough. people up here pay up to $45 cdn for just one of my hats, and they are happy to fork over the cash. Think about how long it takes oyu to make a hat, and how much you think oyu should get paid per hour for that, i.e. up here in bc, minimum wage is $8.50 cdn, and I'm good at making hats so I say I should get paid about $10/hr when making sed hats, add in the cost of yarn and that should be how much you are selling them for. If you are making top quality hats, you deserve to be paid well for them as they are CUSTOM and handmade... celebrities pay thousands of dollars for random-ass custom purses, belts, t-shirts, etc, hats should be the same. don't underestimate yourselves. (besides, zach, you use like triple the amount of yarn any other hat would take, you need to make enough to first of all cover material costs, as well as make a fair profit for yourself.)

skiergirl is right but since companies like logic come along, they drop the prices rediciulously low cause i guess their poor or something which makes others compete, thats why most of my business comes from locals that dont know how to spell 'skiing' cause they dont have the opportunity to know like 50 other hat companies like the children of NS.com

^^^^^^ yes that annoys me very much so and even though its nothing big.. and matt, if it was 'ABOUT THE SKIER' then you could sell a hat for just a buck because then all you need to cover is the cost of your yarn if you're that deticated.. you cannot honestly say its 'about the skier' when you charge near other companies' prices

well it IS about the skier if he's using the money for lift tickets/skis/bindings/etc

im not a non profit organization. i need money to keep it running. websites, shirts, yarn, transfer paper, transfer presses.. its not all a dollar. to be honest, ive made about $550.00. Now tell me im in it for the money.... because apparently i am, right?

^which proves my point. if i were doing it for me, i could easily have that amount. instead, i have half of it. I'm done with logic in this thread, keep selling the hats man.

i made a SWEET ASS! headband the other day with only like 50 cents worth of wool
