Critique this Edit Please

So I went up to Tupper Lake, NY and came back with this edit. This was done in a weeks worth of filming in upstate NY. Take a look at the edit and tell me your thoughts good or bad. (Note that for the shots of water skiing and wakeboarding, that was not me, but my parents filming me, not the best at operating a camera) Thanks!

those were some DAMN sick timelapses

the song you used had a lot of energy, but the shots accompanying it did not. i got extremely bored while watching it. shorten it by at least 1-2 mins
 
for the sake of argument I don't understand your critique. There are only certain times in the song the typo picks up and exudes energy and that is when it becomes kind of electric sounding. You said the timelapses are sick, and the only time there is a lot of energy behind the song is when there are timelapses playing. Otherwise the song is really mellow, and I have regular scenic shots. i do appreciate your critique but dont understand it
 
i liked the song too

timelapses were dope

but there were far too many of them

i would definitely have done like 1 min of timelapses, gotten to the action, closed with a couple more timelapses, and boom, done.
 
true but note that the timelapses were the action. The water sports where not the main focus, just the beauty of the adks
 
but I can agree it is pretty long and drags on a tad, but I only have 5 days to film 3 of which the weather sucked so I couldnt get interesting shots all around
 
Killer time lapses,

I noticed your horizon wasn't always level in your shots, something for you too look at. but other than that great work
 
i love the tree at 0:16 fucking sick, just make it a little shorter, cause timelapses are beautiful but they will get boring
 
I'm sorry this is completely unrelated to your edit, but how do you know Hunter Parrish? Weeds is my favorite show so I'd love to know

yeah I saw the thumbnail and recognized him, that's sick did he just randomly reach out to you or did you know him before the video?
 
That's so sick, I thought seeing the weeds house in Manhattan Beach in person was cool but getting a shoutout from Hunter is way cooler
