Critique on how I'm doing so far.

yeah im not going to be too critical because there is a lot i can say but i know a lot wouldnt apply to your level of filming and editing but mainly some stuff with filming would be come sort of stabilizer for when your skiing and even a tripod in some cases. Also when your editing you really have to try and make an effort to link your clips up with the flow of the song and the drops and that sort of thing with the music. Just work on it. Its nothing amazing right now but there is potential with time.

i'm thinkin by christmas time im going to upgrade my camera setup. I feel like i could do better than with what i'm using now. are glidecams really worth it?

not for your level of filming yet. try out maybe a fig rig or something of that sort. just search it in google and you will see what i mean.

I apologize for being to lazy to do my own research, but you seem to know what your talking about, do fig rigs work with DSLRs?

Alright, thanks. And one last question, what is the best way to focus if you are using a DSLR? Based on the shape of the Fig Rig, I would assume that it would be awkward to have to focus reaching around it, so do they have any pull focus attachments that you know of?

generally when i use my fig rig i have my fisheye on and it has a fixed focus past 1.25m so everything is in focus so i dont need to pull my focus that much but when im using my other lenses i just awkwardly reach around or set my f-stop to something like 8 or 9.5 so that when im following i can set my focus at 10ft but it will still be in focus if its not precisely that. i plan on investing in a new rig pretty soon with a follow focus system. what do you shoot with?
