Critique my Sports Reel

Let me know your thoughts, this is to showcase all the sports I have shot, some more than others. I am not the greatest colorist so I have been working really hard to get better at it. This is one of two reels I am making the other is a football reel since I have shot so much football I think it makes the most sense to have a sports reel and then a fully dedicated football reel.

Great reel. Could use a little more skiing in my opinion, but then I am a little biased. Good use of different angles. I was actually able to watch the whole thing because it was really interesting. The best part was that you really nailed the focus. I see lots of out of focus shots as I look at sports photography and video on the Internet, so props to you for nailing the focus.

Great reel. Could use a little more skiing in my opinion, but then I am a little biased. Good use of different angles. I was actually able to watch the whole thing because it was really interesting. The best part was that you really nailed the focus. I see lots of out of focus shots as I look at sports photography and video on the Internet, so props to you for nailing the focus.

Thanks man appreciate it..... I would of added more skiing in if I had more skiing stuff that was more recent. I wish I was able to shoot more skiing but my main sports have really been football, basketball and motorsports.

that was dope! i think it was good to have a nearly equal amount of each sport, dont wanna over do it with skiing or whatever sport

Really sweet, liked it alot! Some great shots in there.

As far as color, theres definitely a few shots where the highlights are a little tough, noticed a few when shooting inside where they were over exposed

I'd personally make it shorter, a couple repetitive shots in there, just stick with your absolute favorites for a reel ex. a few skiing / snowboarding shots from the same angle

For me, the widescreen took away from some of the shots, especially the football shots...it just seemed a little unnatural and forced with the really fast movements

But obviously its subjective..also as said above, you nailed the focus, the whole thing was super crispy

Appreciate the feedback, I agree a couple of the skiing shots are identical, I did that on purpose just to showcase some similarity, skiing/boarding filming and to not make it jarring. I was trying to bring down the highlights a bit but I was having camera difficulties with an Metabones adaptor which cause they lense to shoot wide open.

I actually have some footage I am not allowed to release before the spot comes out so I will be removing a few shots to add it some different shots and variety.

Really vivid image throughout the whole edit. It came out super smooth and buttery. It was a great balance of each sport and you definitely had great angles and clear focus throughout the whole thing. Great work and keep them coming!
