So I'm sort of at a dead end with my filming ideas, so I would appreciate any pointers. I shot half and my brother shot half. we used a T1i and a Yashica 50mm lens, and I edited with imovie hd.

thanks

Sick man, good song, its hard to make longboarding edits that are good b/c of the nature of the sport, the best way to do it is just to make them as chill as possible ie:

But yea you did a good job.

Thanks. I know what you mean and that edit is one of my favorites.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to what wasn't good about the edit?

Bro there wasn't really anything wrong with the edit. Just some VERY small things, you may want to work on your framing a little, make sure you have the entire rider in the frame w/o cropping out joints, arms, heads etc... That was more evident on the shots when he was jumping over the chain. Also work a little on your stabilization, shots at :53 were shaky and you could only see he legs, for those shots that are to fluid for a tripod, you may want to consider getting a steadycam, just something small like this
