on ns, yeah. in m&a, they're related for the most part.
it's just a pet peeve of mine, like when people comment on some of my older edits criticizing the riding or the style. i'm the filmmaker, not the rider, and it's not like i'm going to tell my friends to try to change their style because there was a hater on NS or youtube, so what's the point? as i said before, they really don't look like kids trying to make it big in inlining. they just look like skiers who are just having some fun when they're not on the slopes.
i like inlining a lot, and while i will say that going straight onto rails and doing straight legged skier slides with a blind 2 out doesn't look all that great, i know skiers kids who would much rather do that than use their souls and i have no problem with that.
to OP, i really liked that a lot man.
-glidecam shots were real dope for sure.
-colors could have been graded more uniquely, but i didn't have any problems with them.
-watch out for bumps on the dolly (unless the backwards movement shots were with a glidecam?)
-try to swap up angles a little as said; mess around with getting a couple shots of the same trick to sequence them.
-transitions like the one at 00:41 are a little cheesy.
-sound was way too loud. ambient sound is a good thing, but it needs to be very subtle. ideally, the viewer shouldn't even really consciously notice that it's there. it should almost blend in with the music.
-great edit overall, flowed very well. you're getting better and better dude
