I agree with asianallen. It really was well made, but It felt like alot of the shots, especially the random rack focus or other 'artsy' type shots were a bit out of place. Using some of them as cutaways is definitely a great editing technique, but i felt some of them were a bit silly. Overall it was pretty cool, especially the overall concept of skiing with no snow haha.

i thought the whole thing looked good, the filming and editing was super legit but i would like to see you put that into a proper skiing edit rather than a backyard set up. obviously you cant in the summer but like asian allen said, for the skiing it was a lil over the top, but i reckon would be sick for a self edit or promo come fall

it seemed just a little bit over edited (but not by much) for summer skiing. i really liked it though. one thing i reccomend is to always have no gain in your night shots. some of them had none but it lookd like a few other ones had it and it makes the shot look a little crappy in my opinion. maybe this is because you used two different cameras (did you?)? i dont know but i like the shots without gain much more.

other than that though i really liked it. props!

all of that^

i thought it was great editing, you can tell you put a lot of effort into it

also for a summer edit it had a bit to many jumps and flashes imo

but overall the timing was really good and the filming too, idk if you used a comp to zoom it or on the camera,

did you use vegas?

i didn't like the song, especially for skiing but thats just personal opinion. as for editing i thought it was quite good, filming was pretty good, not great. like some other people said the artsy b footy could have been better. i like how you switched up the angle alot, that was nice.

also not to be a dick but you kinda made that kid look like a complete tool.

yo so i liked it and ur skills are def. legit. Ummm the filming techniques and angles and all that were good but it was a bit too serious you know? my fav. vids are when ur just watching people have fun skiing ya know? maybe a happier song and a little more relaxed tone. cause vids are all about inspiring us to go have fun and ski right?

Yeah I probably shouldn't have made it so serious.....Why so serious?1??//???!!?....but I did. Anyways the comment from Brad at the end was a joke if you couldn't comprehend that. I used gain in camera (DVX) on a few shots and it makes shit look all grainy. Oh well. I edited in Vegas. I have better shit to come, this was just my first edit I actually tried on.

well its a really sick edit for your first man. props on that. and yea, gain sucks. best way to get a better exposure in dark shots is just better lighting. no real way around it

How many cameras did you shot with? I am not a huge fan of rewinds on edits I think they are over played. Also I am not a fan of choppy scenes, they just confuse me. What I did like was the slow mo, especially the shot with the straight ahead view when the shier was hopping on the rail. Why I asked how many camera is you had, I enjoyed the edits from one view to another very smooth. I was a little confused on going from color to black and white for like a second. Great lighting and first shot of the skier (I am guessing you or your friend walking) was great, the light (I dont know if you had a blurred effect or not) was behind his shoulder which gave a great shadow effect. Overall the was a great edit, your fillming skills were smooth and not jittery at all (tripod or no). Keep killing man, hope to see more from you this winter!

good edit...I wasn't really feeling the whole screen fuzzy thing though and maybe try and get some close low angle shots on the longer rail, that would make it real legit

imao, could have used fewer shots of u carrying ur skis.... and maybe a few less rapid cuts to zoom..... other than that i liked it alot... keep it rockin

Honestly that was pretty damn good. Looks like you have been editing for a bit. There are some other type of editing shit you could get into. If your not into them (sometimes I'm not) well then just don't bother.

Otherwise that was good for sure.

Overall pretty solid effort.

My favorite shot was through the stairs. Things that bugged me were too many quick cuts, too many zooms, and a lot of shots thrown in that didn't do anything for the edit.

You managed to use the song appropriately enough to create a nice mood for the edit, but could have been a lot shorter. Condense condense condense. But keep working at it, you're well on your way.
