Critique my editing please. +karma

well it was good even though there was no summer jibing when in the video i saw your setup which looks dope. However i thought the music didn't work well with the video but some of the angles that you shoot from when there was all the diving was awesome.

haha, the reason why I posted it was because I wanted opinions on my editing. Nothing else.

I will post a summerskiing edit later.

I liked the slow motion diving shots. were you shooting 60p? or how did you do that part? Alot of times the fake slow mo will leave wierd blurriness around the object, but yours looks completely clean.

Personally i'm not really into the shots where some random object (like a leaf or flower) is in focus and nothing else. I feel like everyone uses them and they don't usually contribute anything to the composition. Overall it was pretty cool/

i really enjoyed that actually, whoever that kid is doing that deal with his lips...i lol'd a for a while - same on the tramp. the tramp follow shots during the flips were nutty. i think at the beginning if you edited it with some saturation or made it flash a little to go with the song it would be more of an attractive intro. other than the the slow mo and music made the movie. nice edit.

that was actually a pretty good edit. although maybe a different song but thats your choice. also maybe you could incorperate some type of follow cam on the side of the pool when they were diving , that might turn out sick, and maybe put a few more of the shots in slow motion at the pool. they were rly sick. try to get more angles from both sides in the pool/trampoline. other then that i thought you did i really good job. good sutff man

filming was pretty dope i'm not going to lie, i kinda found the editing a little boring, but with the cinematography as well as the music i think it worked, but i mean there was little transition, maybe be a little more creative with your shots as well. other than that i got nothing, thought it was pretty good.

thanks, I didnt want to "overedit" the movie. I like to keep it as "clean" as possible, with few transitions. But thanks! +karma.

yea i know exactly what you mean, when i edit i rarely use transitions, i prefer beat jumps over anything. so yea a lot of people think when a lot of post production is not involved that you just don't know what you are doing, which strictly speaking isn't true.

Its a sony-hc9e. Its just a "high-speed mode" it can grab 240 frames of video in 3 seconds > 80 fps.

Its not like a real highspeed cam, but It works well enough for me.

liked the edit pool set up was sick is that your school?

the only things i could critique is the song choice

and mabe a follow cam or some more creative shots?

that was actually somewhat entertaining, i like how you filmed something not so interesting, but it turned out interesting. editing was good, i thought the beginning was a bit slow though. I noticed a flicker with most of or all the slow motion shots, kind of distracting, at first i thought it was 60p deinterlaced footy. what did you edit it with? Follow shots were superb as well. o and i kinda liked the song with the vid, it went surprisingly well. Whats the song name?

sprechen sie english? haha my computer wouldnt load it and i dont know enough deutch to read your webpage. can i find you on youtube?
