tripod would definitely help and I would also try and make all your shots look similar...same brightness/contrast etc (which, I liked how bright the colors were, but I think it was a little too overexposed..)

I liked it.

The ending was lacking though. You never reached any sort of conclusion and it actually cut to black during what seemed like a good shot.

thanks yeah it cut to black because my dad was filming that one and he doesnt understand that landings r a big thing in freestyle skiing

Yeah its way too saturated, some of the reds and oranges had no detail and were just color blobs.

that would explain the shakiness...try to make some sort of handle or homemade steadicam that would add some weight to it...that itself would eliminate a lot of the shake...I am surprised with the quality tho

I'm not a huge fan of songs like that unless its a super banger edit. try a more mellow song that goes with your riding not just one you like (that doesn't mean you should hate the song though.) The skiing was good except it got over shadowed at times by really long weird run-in/ lead-in whatever you wanna call it shots. Unless you're hauling at a 90 footer I'd say leave out the ride-in especially if it has a speed check. But the biggest thing i'd say that'd make it a lot better is to use follow cams. idk what you're shooting with, but follow shots have a lot more soul and show you to be a better rider because you can tell it didn't take 20 tries to do one thing.the actual editing and quality of the editing and filming was good, but you could definitely improve the shots. And idk if you can but try boosting the music.good edit though keep doing it.

That was a typical ski edit.

-Shitty rap.

-Colors that made my eyes bleed (along with blown out snow, but i won't even go there since your filming with a flip video.)

-Followcams with no shot composition.

-No vibes to the edit.

-Nothing creative.

-Ect.....

Sorry to absolutely shit on the video, but if you're asking for critique then atleast try to create something artistic or something that creates a certain vibe while watching it. Song choice plays a HUGE role in how a viewer comprehends what they are seeing visually. Why did you pick that song? What kind of mood did it create?

Try to make something different from everybody else. It's easy to do what everyone else does but it's much more satisfying when you make something unique.

Sorry, that was harsh. Keep filming and looking for ways to improve.

I didn't mean folowcams. Scratch that. Still, there was no shot composition or thought about angles it seems.

Editing:

- Make sure every shot ends on some sort of beat, it makes the editing seem more crisp and less sloppy.

-You show way to much in run, its strait up boring.

-Build up your shots with filler lifestyle shots, have skips in the skiers in run or out run.

-With all due respect, your song fucking sucked. You should chose a song that gives you artistic opportunity and gives the edit a mood.

-View editing as an artistic opportunity rather than putting shots together. I would much rather watch an edit with really good editing and mediocre skiing than an edit with really good skiing and shitty editing.

-Work on your color correction. But hey at least you know that it's necessary.

Skiing:

-Go faster on rails and boxes

-Those step on tricks are stupid. A normal 270 looks so much better

-Work on better grabs

yeah i agree. the flip fits on the opteka x-grip handle. i used to use one, and yeah its surprising what they can do.
