Critique an edit please?

This was filmed in december/ january

i'm aware that the shots from :54 to 1:14 are pretty shaky

and some colors might be off

please tell me what you think
 
content wise i felt it was half and half i would have liked to see it be either one or the other. i feel that in such a short edit to switch up sports messes up the flow but not bad edit wise
 
im not a fan of how you put the two sports together the way you did only because you go from a late evening, warm color, good looking picture to gray drabby cloudy snow. it definitely through off the flow a bit maybe split those. but for the snow you could easily get a nice look with some color correction and more grading i think. the skating looked pretty good i thought color wise

yeah it definitely was not a good day to film on snow and the only reason i put the two sports together was because i had so few useable clips from both it would have been to either use em or lose em.
 
As you already pointed out, you had some stabilization issues, some colors were off as well. Other things I noticed included some overexposure of the snow, and if I were you I would try to increase you number of tight shots. Sorry if you already said this but what was this shot on?
 
sorry i saw the setup on vimeo, and sorry for dub post. Well I think you should get some more texture in the snow. You can do this by bumping up your shutter speed and turning down your iso. Also I'd bump up your aperture a little so your video is sharper. What were your settings for this video in general?
 
thanks for the advice! couldnt tell for sure what setting i shot in. it was a pretty gloomy day i tried my best when filming to correct it as much as i could and color correct in post. ill definitely take your advice, thanks again.
