I don't wanna be a hating douche but the new skix4k would have been sick if they used music that actually went good with the riding, didn't use skate clips, and didn't hit nearly every ski edit cliche.

- Unironically using Avril Lavigne was not the play, didn't work. Neither did the other song but it wasnt as bad.

- Too many ski edits lately have skating. If I wanna watch skate clips i’ll go watch a real skate vid with actually pro skaters or just go to Jeds IG cuz hes actually sick.

- Im tired of everybody stealing Olivers edit style. I don't wanna see any more of the pause animation edit thing, its being overdone. And they hit every other ski edit cliche by slowing down the song at the end, stealing the pause thing, using a 90's rap song, shits got tons of violations.

S/O to Skix4k tho, he does make dope shit, I mainly just don't wanna see everyone stealing Olivers editing style, kinda lame to be a copycat.

Agree with this big time, I really don’t enjoy the mediocre skate clips like you said if I wanted to watch skating I’d go watch a skate edit

only valid style that’s “his” is the freeze frame thing. Something I’m guilty of, I’ve done it in a few of my edits. Don’t do it anymore simply cause I realized in recent times that it’s actually their thing. Somewhat regret doing it in past edits for that reason, I try not to Jack peoples ideas too much but it’s whatever, sometimes it fits in an edit real nice.

Other than that plenty of edits are slowed at the end, and probably about half of edits ever made use 90’s rap. Not his thing just a common thing for ski edits as a whole.

Everyone was cringe at 15 including you and me. The kids are stoked don't knock them for it

Tbh OP, the edit you’re making fun of has a ton of potential for a middle school edit. The editor is synching messing with song switches, associating different rappers with different riders, slowmo, post credit clips and original b-roll. Dudes got creativity and the potential to be a really good editor. Also the filming wasn’t even that bad.

I can still remember an edit my friend posted of us skiing in Michigan back in the day. We were 15. I am glad it got lost in the depths of YouTube
